Excellent MAX station and the deepest in the Western hemisphere! At 260 feet below ground, this is the only underground station in the system. The infographics about the tunnel are really neat and the elevation in the elevators makes for a really cool experience! If you’re riding the MAX, this is the station to go to. When out of town guests come to visit me, one of the first places I take them to is the Washington Park MAX Station. It's an amazing underground station. The deepest one in North America. This is more than a train stop it is also a history in time lesson. Travel almost 300 feet down and see a core earth sample that is connected to the history of time. I "travelled" down with my family and we got a kick out of seeing the trains zoom in and out of this station. It's mighty cold down there so you'll want to bring a sweatshirt...
