Peirce Island dog park is perfect, I’m so glad BringFido recommed going! It’s now easily one of my new favorite spots to take Arya; as if I could love Portsmouth any more. 😍 . . : ❤️ @Tones And I 🥰🎧

Pierce Island is a beautiful and peaceful escape just minutes from downtown Portsmouth! 🌊🌿 The views of the Piscataqua River, nearby bridges, and historic waterfront are absolutely stunning, especially at sunrise or sunset. The island offers a lovely walking area, open green spaces, and picnic spots perfect for relaxing with family or friends. In summer, the public pool is a great bonus, and the surrounding nature makes it a wonderful place to recharge away from the city bustle. Whether you’re here for a short stroll, photography, or a quiet moment by the water, Pierce Island is a true hidden gem in Portsmouth.

Development is still ongoing, but, what it has to offer makes it worth a visit. Trails along the river, playground, Four Tree Island, Portsmouth Outdoor Pool, multiple large parking 🅿️ lots, boat ⛵ launch and the commercial pier make the island a popular tourist attraction. You can bring Fido 🐕 but he must be leashed and cleaned up afterwards. The views of Prescott Park 🏞️ are good. You may encounter 🐇 rabbits along the trails. Bring your Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch and your Book 📖 of Armaments. Different waterfowl will stop by. If you are in Portsmouth and have time, I recommend a visit.

Peirce Island is a lovely place to walk around in the fresh breezes of the Piscataqua River. Portsmouth's decision to install a waste water treatment facility on the east end of the island was quite unfortunate as it cut off access to walking trails which were once off leash areas. No dogs are allowed now, on or off leash, just like nearby Prescott Park. Still, Peirce Island is a great place to bring kids (nice playground), enjoy the picnic shelters and hibachis on "Four Tree Island" with views of the river, the Memorial Bridge, and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. The short length of beach is a great place to look for sea glass in low tide! In addition there is a public...
