I had the pleasure of going to Shawnee State University yesterday for Allied health day and again today for Shawnee Showcase day, and I must say, I'm impressed. As affordable as it is, I wouldn't expect it to be that good, but wow. The programs are really great, and I've never met such nice people. The professors and faculty are welcoming and helpful, and the students acted like they actually liked having us there. So much bang for your buck, I think everyone should consider Shawnee! And the dorms aren't even dorms, they're full on apartments, and the food is good. Kitchen staff are sweet. Gracious scholarships and free tuition. I would 100% recommend and I can't wait to start the med lab tech program and biology bachelor's program. Oh yeah, and giant outdoor chess boards. As a nationally renowned chess player, that's an excellent touch for me. My whole family loves this place and is excited for me to go to college now....

Read moreFirst off, the campus itself is in poor condition. The sidwalks are cracked, and the stairs are worn and a tripping hazard. If you are physically disabled, be warned, there is hardly no disabled access aroud campus. The elevators are used by those who are athletic and can walk perfectly fine, but crowd out those in wheelchairs.... There are professors who are either unfair in grading or don't know what...
