Wautoma Springs — Attraction in Prosser

5/24 update New wines, Rachel made me a custom cucumber - radish -tomato - anchovy salad to die for! Lovely quality local wines - reds, whites, rose, and amazing hot and cold charcuterie plates at the contemporary winery tasting room with airy feeling. Lots of gift 🎁 baskets with wine and imported Euro groceries with refined tastes of the old world. Visited solo, many couples and groups of friends frequent Wautoma Springs for a refined and uplifted experience. Had a food plate with dietary special request accommodated despite the place being nearly full. Behemoth reserve cabernet is the favorite. Everything we had here was amazing! We tired 6 different wines and ordered 3 dishes from the kitchen - all of which were incredible. We really appreciated the reasonable prices here - and we ended up purchasing a few bottles to take home which off-set a price of tasting (3 wines x 3 oz pours - $10 for whites and $15 for reds. Reserve/Premium tasting also available.) The value found here can't be beat (many other places do 5 x 1 oz pours for $15) - everything they are producing is fantastic. Don't think of this placec as a traditional tasting room. It's more like a restaurant that makes wine, with an impressive specialty grocery nook. We were pleasantly greeted and seated by a very enjoyable server. We ordered wine and then food, which was a mistake. If you're going to order food, do that first. Some of the food comes with wine. The food was truly enjoyable and heartfelt. The wine was good and paired well with food - trust their recommendations - but I think the food was the star.
