Bought a cute record player from them and it worked great! Later went back and bought the new Harry Styles album from them. I opened it up, noticed damage in the center, didn't think anything of it, started to play it and noticed extreme skipping. I brought it in and the employee was wonderful and very helpful. The album worked on their machine but she graciously offered me a new album due to the damage in the center probably caused by shipping. I said thank you and went home with my new album. Unfortunately this record also had problems with skipping. I brought in the album and my record player to try and figure this out. We tried many different things. The album worked perfectly on their player, skipped on mine, and worked on another Victrola. She suggested that perhaps the player was damaged and sent me home with a new one. I said thank you so much and went on my way. At home the first and only song that we had tested worked great, but several others that we didn't test were skipping. I was very confused. I messaged them and they told me to bring the album back in and they will try something else. I went back in and asked if I could simply return it. The employee suggested we try to clean it, so we did and I was sent home. Once again, the record was skipping. I tried cleaning the album and playing it for the next 15 minutes to no avail. I messaged them again and asked if I could simply return the record and get a refund. They said no. They explained how the other record player had no damage and worked fine, which I did not think it was damaged, the employee said it was faulty. They claimed that there were fingerprints all over the other album which is a complete lie. I am not a rookie when it comes to vinyls and do not touch them where you are not supposed to. I understood that they did so much to help me but I asked if I could just return it and they said no. So I left this one star review and put the album up on facebook market place. I then woke up to a personal dm from them about the one star review. I was shocked that they would contact me personally through my instagram and also on here. They also noted that I placed the album on facebook market place and did not mention the skipping. I did not mention the skipping because they album had worked perfectly fine on their players and not mine so I can only assume it would do the same. They also noted that I gave a one star review to a potential buyer of the album. If they are so willing to buy it from me, they why was I not able to receive a refund like I had asked for? Over all they did try their best to help me, the situation got out of hand and they reacted poorly to one person giving them a one star review. I always come here and I enjoy the variety of selection that appeals to my musical taste at a reasonable price along with other memorabilia. I had a negative experience the other day here, so I thought about leaving a comment here in case anybody else tries what I did. Put simply, I showed up about 20 to 15 minutes before they close and the young guy working store tells me that they’re already closed, which isn’t what it says online. I’m not saying who’s to blame for that, as he could’ve just been told to do that, but it would make sense for you guys to close at the time that you say online. I already knew what I wanted, would’ve taken me only a minute to check out. To me it kinda just doesn’t make sense from a business standpoint that yall would reject me from coming in during open store hours. (I arrive- 7:40/store closes at 8:00). This place is the best thrift store in Provo. Heck, it's my favorite thrift store I've been to. I've gotten the majority of the clothes I wear from here over the past few months. They provide stylish outfits for any style for super cheap. There's an awesome variety of clothes, furniture, books, movies, stickers, rings, and records. My fiance and I were able to buy a cabinet for our future apartment for super cheep by calling in and they held it for us until we were ready to pick it up. The vibe of the store is also dope because they play really good music consistently and the people who work here are super friendly and such a vibe..
