Egg Shells intentionally put into child’s burrito today? I spend $300+ at the Saratoga location per month, they do a phenomenal job. I know the Provo location is also owned by the same owner, and I am very disappointed with employees at the Provo store.
My wife spends $150-$200 monthly at the Provo location, and I give my wife punch cards to use.
Your employees in Provo desperately need training on interacting with customers, especially when it comes to punch cards. 2 days ago, my wife attempted to combine 2 punch cards to pay for one of our kid’s burritos. One punch card had 6, the other 7 punches. The new employee (boy w braces) refused to combine them, and walked away from her at the window, not allowing her to pay. Today, she ordered and noticed it was the same boy from two days ago, but when she got to the window, he had switched places with his co worker. My wife gave the employee a completed punch pass (that I had to take to Saratoga Springs to combine) to pay for the burrito from 2 days ago, and paid for the burrito today. She saw the boy w braces from the other day bring the burrito from the back and attempted to communicate she brought the filled out punch card from other day. He looked straight at her, and disrespectfully and dismissively turned and walked away. When our teenager ate the burrito, there were many egg shells found in the burrito!
This is an unacceptable way to treat customers that spend close to $600/mo at your store!
Provo employees need to be trained. This is not the first time we’ve had issues regarding punch passes. 3 months ago, a girl (I think name is Daniella) refused the “free meal” pass because my wife had only ordered the burrito for our daughter, not “the meal” which includes rice and beans. It seems the employee should have been able to come up with that solution for my wife rather than turn her punch pass away.
After today’s “egg shell in burritos” episode, I don’t know how much patience we have left with that location & the owner should know.
Maria and Alejandro do a great job at Provo, and Saratoga location is fantastic—— perhaps they could train the others on...

After a three year break I’m back in Provo and does this hold up? Well, no. The twenty four hour location is now the Rancheritos near Einstein Bagels on University. This one does still have a drive through. That alone makes this particular location lack any real raison d’être, seeing as the food is practically identical.
Unfortunately, it’s not just the hours that have changed. The prices are worse too, topping out near the nine dollar mark for the famous (thankfully still giant) burritos. This reduces it from a killer deal to a regular good deal. Now, you might be saying, that sounds fine? The big issue is that the rest of the Provo food scene has advanced while this languishes. The chicken bell pepper burrito had zero discernible sour cream. The carnitas burrito still has a practically nonexistent guacamole and a strangely off-putting pico de gallo. The breakfast burritos have drifted toward too much potato and don’t have the same balance they once did. The California burrito still has that one or two bites of unexpected gristle hidden and buried inside each burrito.
Don’t get me wrong: Provo still has a depressingly small amount of 24 hour options and Rancheritos still rules that niche convincingly. (Again, this Betos location has nothing to recommend it) From a calories-for-money perspective it gives McDonalds a run for its money. But having tasted the new iteration... Next time I move away from Provo, this food won’t be a noted loss like it was before.
Final note: if you are trying to head south, and there’s traffic, there’s almost no good way to do so due to the way the streets are laid out if you make a right turn out of the place. So a left turn is the only good way, but is very difficult in...
Read moreHorrible experience. I called and placed an online order and was told that it would be ready in about 20 minutes. Before hanging up, I asked if they needed my name and credit card, to which I was told, "No, just pick it up in 20 minutes." Upon arriving to pick up my order, the cashier told me that it hadn't been prepared because it needed to be paid for first. I said that I had offered to pay for the order when I called and was told that there was no need to pay for it in advance. I left the restaurant upset at the lack of service and, before driving away, decided to voice my concerns to the manager on duty. I pulled up to the take-out window and asked to speak with the manager, only to be told that he wasn't there. So I asked to speak with the shift supervisor, whereupon the young man to whom I had made my request closed the take-out window and walked away. I waited and waited without anyone else coming to the window. After a few minutes, another person passed near the window and I tried to get his attention, but he simply looked at me and walked away. I cannot believe how rude and inconsiderate the staff were. I will NEVER eat there or order food from Beto's again, and will be sure to let others know of the extremely rude, poor service received there. They don't even deserve a one star...
