If you have young kids, I'd say under 12, buy the membership. We would go Fridays regularly and it was worth it. That being said, I'm going to cancel my membership after today's experience as I sit here still at catapult nursing my bruised and hurting knee. We have held a membership for over a year now and I have seen the attractions slowly degrade. Just in the past two (?) months they did add/replace 3 attractions so that shows some improvements are made as well as they do add new balls for their ball pit, but the older attractions do not hold enough air or have blown out air pockets. So, that leads me back to my injured knee. There I was, bouncing gingerly step after step, when I jump to land on my knees next to my kid and instead of being caught by a pocket of bouncy goodness, the inflatable provides no resistance and I travel, knee first, into the concrete below. Shocked and appalled, I sit there for a moment assessing the damage. I find that I can still walk, so I gimp over to a bench, rest my knee and ponder my membership. Did I bring it up to the staff? No. Why? To what end? An apology? It wouldn't change anything. An ice pack? Sure. The workers are at any fault, I've never had a complaint about them. Cleanliness? Hair and dust bunnies sure, but you can only clean so often without getting in the way. I've never seen it sticky or untidy. The bathrooms even seem in good shape, aside from the month the men's room didn't have doors on its stalls and the family restroom is in a state of renovation. Staffing does seem a bit thin on occasion, but not bad lately. They have a reasonable selection of arcade and prize machines for what they are. I haven't bought any food or drinks, so I can't comment on pricing or quality. I guess the last thing to mention is the catwalk and climbing attractions. They are great. Good variety of obstacles on the catwalk, climbing tower has different skill level sides, the stepping columns are simple and fun. Oh, and the inner tube slide attraction is fun, as long as there is a spray bottle of water and some kid hasn't...
Read moreIf you're booking a party at Catapult- GO TO THE LAKEWOOD ONE!
We just had my sons 11th birthday here, and I accidentally booked it for this location instead of Lakewood, big mistake. We had a birthday at the Lakewood location 2 years ago, exactly. I assumed it would be pretty much the same but it wasn't. Our party was from 5-7 pm. I arrived around 4:50 to set up the table and have everything ready. Got in line and waited for a long time. Finally a girl told me my party host was in the back and would be out soon. We continued to wait and finally around 5:05 she came out. Quite annoying as you're timed and the kids can't play without the socks and wristbands. Then when she came out she told me they were going to order the pizza now and it would arrive at 530. I told her I'd like to order 2 additional pizzas and she quickly told me "No. We can't do that." I found that very odd as the Lakewood one was able to order as many additional as you'd like. When I booked the party I didn't know we would have several extra guests and nowhere on the website does it say you must order everything beforehand. So now I'm paying additional for multiple kids but I don't get extra pizza and I can't even order and pay for extra pizza. Plus the worst part is that you're not allowed to bring any in! It made zero sense to me that they couldn't just order 2 more pizzas. They don't have any hot food so there's also zero reason we couldn't bring our own in. So all the adults went hungry which is super embarrassing. And when you're spending close to $500 on an 11 year olds birthday the least you can expect is to be fed?
This location also seems a lot more run down and dingy than the lakewood one. We enjoy catapult and I'm hoping that in the future you will make it so if you're unable to provide enough food for the party, at least allow us to bring in...
Read moreOn my visit on 9/21 another child pushed the child in my care down bullying him. It resulted in a very badly cut inner cheek. When I went to the counter to get some help all the manager would do is repeatedly tell me how I need to fill out an accident form. The child has a very considerable amount of blood in, and coming out of his mouth. I had to repeatedly ask for some water and napkins so I could get some sort of idea of how serious the injury was. The entire time the young blond manager wasn’t asking how to help, what was wrong, nothing. Just offered an ice pack as if he sprained his ankle and would not stop telling me how I had to fill out paperwork. I finally told her sharply as was walking him to the bathroom to tend to his injury that I would do it as soon as I had him taken care of. She immediately barked something back at me which I didn’t completely understand. Luckily, there was a young lady there that acted as if she cared and took on the situation with respect and the importance that was needed at the time. The very rude manager walked by us a couple times without even acknowledging us. In my opinion the young lady that helped us should have the manager position and the manager Should be working somewhere where she doesn’t deal with the public. What’s alarming is it was immediately clear that they had absolutely zero training on how to deal with an injured child. If they did, it was forgotten.
In short, I will not be returning and will be going to many social media platforms to voice my experience with this incredibly rude and...
