The Quakertown station was built for the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad in 1902. The station also saw service with SEPTA on the former Bethlehem Line. Not sure when the station is open to the public, but it has been nicely restored!

The building is beautiful and unique inside. My only major disappointment is that I had many guests complain about the imperious behavior of the volunteer society members. They constantly made their presence known by interrogating guests when they pulled in the parking lot or wandering around on the floor to see what was being plugged into outlets. One guest was trying to quickly assist another and swung his legs over the railing then got 'yelled at' as if he were a child. I personally had issues when I wanted the food to be out on the floor where the guests were. This issue was resolved only due to my insistence. We had to get a rider from our homeowners insurance company because we had wine and beer on the premises. This increase will last for the duration of the year. Otherwise, people shook off the encounters and we had a great time. Simple suggestion Lighten up with the constant...

Had my sons wedding here and my kids just surprised us with a 40th wedding anniversary with all our friends. First off. The staff here are incredible. They are friendly, courteous and so very helpful. They cherish this place and it's history. My father worked in the train yards in Philly back in the late 60's and would take me on trips sometimes to NJ. I was very young and only remember through pictures. The nostalgia of this place is what does it for me. And the staff recognize the importance of saving this historic building. This place may not be for the rich and famous and that's ok. But it is for those who just enjoy a great time with family and friends and a little...

Quakertown is a quaint , all American town with Interesting architecture downtown. Founded by the Quakets who believed in religious freedom for all, therefore there are many houses of worship of every denomination. The streets are often flag lined especially on July 4 when the big Community day followed by fireworks is held. There is a beautiful park with nice playground, walking paths & sports courts & fields. The new park has added a bandshell for some popular concerts. It's a very Historic town where George Washington & his troops hid the Liberty Bell. There is a replica on Broad...
