I've been to every major event venue in greater NEPA, and the humble Univest center genuinely rivals the best traditional theatres at its size.
The sound was a good step above what I've experienced at most outdoor venues of similar size, but still carried a good "punch" considering noise restrictions of being in the heart of Quakertown. The noise level floated around 92db all evening for GTLO.
The experience getting into the venue was painless, quick, and left nothing to be desired. Parking was clearly marked on adjacent streets, and even arriving moments before showtime I had no trouble parking.
Concessions & restrooms had minimal lines, appropriate for the turnout but not enough of a wait to warrant complaints.
For anyone who had a similar thought to: "Wait... Hootie & the blowfish are playing WHERE?, Quakertown has a venue?", give it a shot. You won't have a...
Read moreWe came to see Scotty McCreary at Univest. We were seated in the 4th row from the front in the middle section. I have 3 special needs daughters so paid for these seats so they would be able to see. We drove from Ontario Canada to see this concert. Not long into the concert people started walking up to the front and by the time it started raining we could no longer see. My one daughter is unable to stand for any prolonged period so she could no longer see Scotty. I was very disappointed that nothing was said to people to remain in their seats. It doesn't seem fair to pay top price and then be blocked by people who did not pay for these seats. Perhaps the weather was a factor but there did not seem to be any...

My first time there, I brought my 7 year old son with me to see Peter Noone from Herman’s Hermits. We had a blast. Parked in a paid parking spot. My son and I had fun riding in the golf cart up to the venue (shuttle).
*I saw a comment below saying that paid parking is the furthest. This is not true. The park itself is pretty big and there is parking all around. Unless they are letting you park at the library, please expect a little walk. Paid parking does...
