Alexander Place — Attraction in Raleigh

This is a place you don't want to stay too long in, order ahead and do pick ups, quick in and outs. A very crowded place, especially near walmart. Parking can be quite packed from the morning until 7pm. Avoid leaving the center around 5pm if you're trying to get onto the highway, big traffic jam even before reaching the highway. Quite a few "homeless" people, some not so aggressive, just holding signs at the entrance of the shopping center, but some circle inside the shopping center parking lots, sidewalks, and businesses that shout and come directly up to you demanding some money. I bought some food for someone who came up to me in the parking lot that said they haven't ate in a while and were hungry. The next time I went to the restaurant, I learned that she had made a scene and demanded a cash refund for the meal, right after I left. Panhandlers and beggars hang out in the parking lot and will approach you to ask for money. Sometimes they're standing next to the street near the traffic light so they can ask drivers stuck at a red traffic light. Sometimes they're asking for a "donation" to their church or don't have enough to pay for a bus ride. For one very creative person they were trying to get enough money for a hotel room so they could take a shower because they were homeless due to their cancer treatment taking all their money. I've always wondered if the ABC Store within walking distance of this shopping center is one of the reasons this particular shopping center has so many people asking for...

Actually stopped in to Panera for 2 reasons. Very thankful for Olivia as I needed a big favor before ordering. Having done business in Durham and it had taken longer than expected I needed to help my elderly aunt empty out her bag. I asked how much a large cup would cost and she was like 'I can give you a cup.'🤗 My auntie was able to take care of business for we had an hour drive home from that point.
