First, this place partially opened in early March. How someone posted a 5 star review 6 months ago, screams lies and intentional misconception. The gym is not by any means anything to write home about. I used to be a member of O2 Fitness and the facility is comparable to O2. However, O2 has a sauna for women and a sauna for men. This place (eventually) will have a sauna for both. But based on my visit a few weeks ago, they have no idea when the pool area, (which said sauna is located), will be open. The kicker is the price is $129 a month. $129 a month for a communal sauna, really nice, but limited equipment, a large pool, smaller pool and I think a hot tub, and a small juice bar/ restaurant. Either way, unless your neighbor in Brier Creek doesnāt have a pool, I canāt imagine why anyone would choose this place over O2 Fitness. Seriously and what is kind of annoying is the manager thinks $129 is a good price for what they are offering. So, either they are offering different prices based on race, ethnicity, gender or they have significantly lowered their prices, I canāt see how anyone can say this place is reasonably priced. My boyfriend goes to LifeTime fitness on Falls of Nuese. You can fit at least 50 Cambridge Fitness in that building. It has several Olympic size indoor pools, daycare, several restaurants, extremely clean facility and cost less than this place. I have no idea who did the market research and decided that $129 was warranted, but I can assure you, itās not. And yes, I can afford to pay the $129 and would have happily done so, IF it was worth it. Go see for yourself....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came here for two weeks during a visit from out of state. I normally use John Reed/Golds Gym.
Cambridge has great staff, clean facilities, and well-maintained equipment. I even had a small question about how to do an exercise I enjoy on pull day with a specific piece of equipment and the staff happily jumped in to demonstrate with no questions asked. I usually visited around opening times and before dinner. I never had a hard time using machines and equipment that I planned on using. Itās smaller than many gyms so I could imagine during peak times that youāll have to share or wait. Sometimes the only other people in the gym are from the residence or the physical therapist from across the atrium. Compared to many gyms, the other members are really courteous and diligently clean their equipment after use. A couple people forgot equipment on walkways that I tidied up to not be a tripping hazard. I (30s) often was the youngest person in the room but never felt out of place or unwelcome.
As far as equipment, squat racks, smith machines, bench press and adjustable benches, dumbbells up to 100lbs, lots of Precor equipment, and plenty of cardio equipment including two stair machines. I havenāt used the pool yet, but thatās icing...

The Q50 class at 5:30 AM is intense, but absolutely worth it! The biggest reason I keep coming back is Coach Q. Heās an incredible instructor who truly pushes you to become your best, especially when it comes to your health and fitness goals. His energy and motivation make a big difference ā 5 stars for Q50 without a doubt!
As for the gym overall, Iād give it 5 stars for appearance and cleanliness ā itās a great-looking facility. However, I have to give 3 stars for convenience when it comes to attending morning classes. I drive over an hour to get there, and access to the gate or building can be frustrating. I often have to wait or walk around just to get inside. For someone who only attends early morning classes, it feels unfair to pay extra for limited access. Many other gyms offer 24/7 access or open as early as 4 AM with a fob system.
One other downside is the lack of smoothie availability after morning classes. For those of us with long commutes and tight schedules, having recovery options like smoothies available early would be a huge plus.
Overall, I highly recommend Q50 for the training and the coach ā just hoping for a few improvements in gym access and amenities for...
