It was my first time visiting this nail salon and it was not a positive experience. First impressions are everything and despite good reviews, I personally will never return to this nail salon again. First off, I made an appointment online for myself and a guest. We received a confirmation with the names of the nail techs who would provide service. Upon entering the salon, we had to wait for 15 minutes or so before being seen. While talking across the room and being sized up, they decided to switch nail techs on us so that we were not assigned the nail tech we booked with. Huh, that was strange! I am also big on sanitation and cleanliness especially with nail salons, but this place did not pass the test. The tray that was used to carry the nail tools was dirty and the tools themselves…. Well you can read between the lines. The nail tech who worked on me had her eye glasses sitting in that same tray so sanitation was definitely out the window. Before putting lotion on my hands/arms you could see where the opening to the lotion was not clean so I was totally turned off when she dragged it across my arm to put the lotion on… yuck! The person who worked on my guest provided a service they didn’t ask for but because the nail tech clearly told them ‘same price’ they proceeded with the service. When all was said and done, they tried to charge her $15 more than the service fee that we were given with booking/service online. Nobody asked for the add ons and extras, they took it upon themselves to do that and figured they would get the money. No chance, my guest did not budget for all of that. Finally, I am disappointed with my nails as the polish was cheap and she didn’t use enough coats to keep them from chipping and peeling. One layer/coat was not enough…. Good grief! Now just 4 days later my nails are chipping and I’m too far away to get them fixed. Looks like I’m out of luck for the holiday. These are gel nails so this should not have happened period… What a shame! Some people won’t care about the negative review, but for me, I have way too much class to visit this place again. I do...
Read moreI have been going to Classic Nail Spa since 2020, and I’ve always had a pleasant and satisfying experience here! I moved to North Carolina in 2019, and I struggled for over nine months trying to find a nail salon that was a good fit for me, but when I had my manicure and pedicure done here, I knew my search was over! Upon my arrival, I was instantly greeted with a smile from Linda, and she expected my arrival since I made an appointment. I only waited a few minutes after my scheduled appointment to be seated in my chair, and the technician was extremely polite and helpful. All the technicians were warm and friendly, and I felt very welcomed. I always get the classic pedicure and gel manicure, and both my feet and nails look beautiful afterwards! The work is never rushed through, and my nailbeds look so clean and neat afterwards with the perfect application of color and gel! I can usually get 4-5 weeks out of my manicures and pedicures, and I often receive compliments on their work. The massage chairs here are so comfortable and luxurious, and the shop is always clean! Cindy is my absolute favorite, but all the technicians here are talented and well trained. What’s most commendable is their attention to detail and the integrity of their work which I feel is lacking at so many other nail salons in the Triangle. I’m so relieved and happy I found this nail salon, and I encourage you to...
Read moreI’ll give this place two stars because my nails aren’t that bad But it’s just not what I asked for. First of all this nail salon is very white oriented, when I walked in yesterday to get my nails done I was the only black person there. I got the ugliest stairs and looks soon as I walked in. I knew nothing about this place, I literally googled nail salon near me and this place was 1 mile away. when I walked in I knew I had mad a mistake going there. Even the workers looked at me in surprise, when the owner told me to sit down in her chair she immediately started talking In her language to her friend beside her. They ignored me and talked to everyone around me. I then told the owner who was doing my nails what I wanted. She disregarded that and told me to try something else ( which was more expensive) and I didn’t disagree with her because I wasn’t trying to be another black women making a scene. She didn’t give me what I asked for, my nails are clumpy. I should have walked out which is what I started to do. I also should have told her no to the service she offered and got the one I originally wanted but I wasn’t trying to make a scene. But I will...
