The Heck-Andrews House was finished in 1870 and was one of the first houses in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina to be constructed after the American Civil War. It is located at 309 North Blount Street. It was created by G.S.H. Appleget for Mrs. Mattie Heck, the wife of Colonel Jonathan McGee Heck.

The house was closed on the day I stopped by (Saturday) but the grounds were still accessible. I ended up simply looking through the windows. The North Carolina Association of Realtors owns the property so I’m not sure how to gain access other than calling ahead and booking an appointment. Otherwise, the house is beautiful and I’m so glad it has been restored. Bravo to everyone involved for saving this historic property. It’s very close to the Executive Mansion just down the street.

Under Renovation! Wow doing a phenomenal job paying attention yo every detail and bringing it back to original condition with a few additions added to be able to hold parties and catering!
