I haven't been to a farmer's market since I graduated from UC Davis a couple years ago, and I'm so glad I went! Lots of vendors with a massive variety of fruits, vegetables, baked goods, food, and other miscellaneous stuff too! Every vendor I shopped with accepted cards as well as cash, so that makes it convenient and easy. But I will probably bring cash with me next time so I don't go quite as crazy with the shopping! I was super happy to see The Upper Crust Baking Company there, as I used to buy their bread all the time from the farmer's market at UCD. And I will definitely go back to buying their bread again. Fresh, good bread is WAY better than anything you can get from the store!

I tried a new(ish) vendor, Baklava & Coffee! We bought regular and rose baklava! Each Very Good! Their baklava has a perfect amount of honey and walnuts! The rose baklava is crispy, with pistachios, a light bit of honey with rose petals on top. Baklava & Coffee also serves Turkish coffees and gourmet teas! I recommend stopping for warm drink and treat!

Nice little market, there are fresh vegetables which is very cool, there is also street food. There were about 5 tents with greens and vegetables. 2 tents selling olive oil and balsamic. There was a place where you could buy fresh sourdough bread. Well, there were many other tents with fresh juices, clothes, and some craft items.

It's hard to score the market as a whole since each vendor varies. The hummus and dips area had vendors openly blowing snot into kleenex and not using so much as sanitizer and returning to touching items for sale. Obviously I choose not to go there. Another vendor Who didn't appear ill sold me a dip but refused so much as a smile or thank you. Maybe people skills isn't their forte. The fruit bowl food cart was friendly though and had excellent hawaiian hazelnut coffee. The vendor selling tamales was very polite and helpful. Great special 6 for $20. The taco place had excellent chorizo tacos and pastor tacos. They were very nice and worked quickly. 🌮 many cute dogs roaming around. One vendor had small ripe persimmons which are hard to find. They were a little beat up but looked really good compared to the big yellow flavorless ones most places have. Lots of vendors had leafy greens and other vegetables for reasonable prices. A very nice woodworking vendor was there with many exquisite...

So we went for ā€˜traditional’ farmers markets goods and walked away with only restaurant-type food (samosas, chutneys, artisan breads, dips, etc.)! I felt SO bad that I’d spent my money up on those vendors only. So, I plan to return with a LASER-LIKE FOCUS 🄸 to START with the organic produce vendors I intended to buy from this last time (first visit ever) and THEN buy from the home-cooked meals vendors next time! Or, just bring more money and get everything I need/WANT!

I love these farmers markets… and I truly feel responsible to myself and them to shop there instead of big grocery stores… or at least shop these local...
