The fields are out of control. My kids play soccer there, and it is so bad, the soccer ball does not roll without it jumping around with all the uneven terrain on the grass. It is soo patchy and makes it extremely difficult to play. Our season was over so we had a game between the parents and the 11 year olds. I was out there and every other step i felt like i was on the verge of rolling my ankle over because of the unevenness in the grass. It is so bad, an ankle roll, sprained ankle or even worse is inevitable and we all know along with that will come the lawsuits. My advice to the "Parks and Recreation" of Rancho Cucamonga, would be to seriously work on this issue. With all the lawsuit happiness existing these days, its just a matter of time. Be proactive and address this issue before somebody gets hurt, and then they sue the city and we lose the park completely. Just like what happened to Etiwanda Intermediate School. We just finished baseball season with my son, and only had 1 field to play on because of a situation that...
Read moreGenerally a nice park. There are four, large soccer pitches which have large lights which shut off at 9pm. Child leagues play there, often weekly. There are also 4 tennis courts which are well lit. You need to reserve a court via a written schedule which is hanging on the fence surrounding the courts. Two half basketball courts on the opposite end of the park from the tennis courts are taken care of. Dog friendly, please pick up after your dog. There are plenty of garbage cans but bring your own dog poo bags. Obviously follow leash laws, please. Each end of the park has slides, swings and jungle gyms for the kids. Surrounding the entire place is a nice dirt walking/running track. There are restrooms and drinking fountains. The park closes at 10pm. It is definitely a nice park for sports...
Read moreIt's a cute little park, would be much nicer if they did the needed repairs, and replaced the big kid swings which have been gone forever. My older ones hate the fact they can't swing here with their little sister. Other than that there's a nice amount of mature trees and shade. Our favorite Sunday afternoon outing is bringing a pizza to the park and...
