I fell in love with the christmas house at the tour and knowing Janice would be in charge of our wedding, I had full confidence. It wasn't until AFTER we had paid the deposit of $500 to reserve our date that we were told in an email that Janice would NOT be in charge of our wedding and that a coordinator who we'd never met would be in charge and that ownership was changing. I was a little uneasy but decided it would be fine. Our wedding was gorgeous visually but it lacked in so many ways. First off, for our rehearsal we arrived on time but they were still in the middle of a rehearsal with another wedding party. No greeting, no "sorry we overbooked on time we will be with you in a moment" just ignored. And on top of that, that wedding party lingered for a while chatting and ultimately our rehearsal time was cut short. My husband was very upset by this because it was very unprofessional and should have been accounted for. My biggest pet peeve of this was that we did not practice with the music I had chosen for our precession. Because of this the entire procession ended up being completely ruined on top of the fact that the DJ was extremely rude to my sister and sister in law (who were both bridesmaids) when they came out to tell him I just wanted him to play the song from the beginning but instead he played a completely chopped up version and it was absolutely mortifying. Also, a few of my family members were a bit late and instead of starting a little later they refused to let them in even though none of us had started walking down the aisle. The mens and family boutineers were given to the staff and somehow were left in the living room and had to be hurridly put on by a bridesmaid. Jillian who was supposed to be my main coordinator disappeared after my ceremony; I heard my guests saying that 2 staff members were in a heated argument and stormed out which I assume was her because I did not see her EVER again after I walked down the aisle. I picked all the food out for the ceremony carefully but for some reason the salad that was served was not the one I chose and that really bothered me. On top of that I had anticipated 102 guest but only 96 came, we were told we would receive any left over food but somehow there was no food even though we had 6 people not show?? This baffled me and I can only assume that the staff took it home with them. Also, my left over wedding cake was tossed into a big disposable dish and covered loosely with foil which in my opinion showed how much care was put into the wedding entirely. Not only this but I assumed my coordinators would be around and about during the night but they were nowhere to be seen. Our sweetheart table was completely off balance and almost fell over. Also their policy regarding keeping the doors of the bridal suite and grooms room locked made sense but when other staff was asked where the other coordinator was to open the doors so that a groomsman could get his cigars and also so I could change outfits (which was discussed weeks prior) they told my mom that the doors stay locked "no exceptions" so she went and found the owner. Not sure where they expected me to change???The lack of professionalism felt was so disappointing and I felt like my day was being rushed because the other staff wanted to go to bed. I believe that since my coordinator disappeared that the Dj was ultimately left in charge of the timeline which he continously rushed, trying to start the toasts when drinks weren't even on the tables yet, as well as not giving me time to change outfits before performing my surprise song for my husband. We know we are just one wedding in the hundreds of weddings they have every year but they know well that weddings are the most important thing in a persons life. It really hurt us that guests who were important to us were refused entry and the FOG wandered around the venue because no one told him where the grooms room was and was not pictured in the photos before the ceremony. Not everyone will have the same experience as us but ours needed...
Read moreI had the wedding of my dreams here. I just wanna let future brides know if youre searching for a a venue through google like i did and come across a venue with eye dropping photos and you realize getting a tour appt might take awhile, book the appt cause chances are its the ONE. I had looked at venues in redlands, corona, irvine, and none of them could out beat everything christmas had to offer i couldnt make my decison without seeing this beautiful historic venue in person. Like most women i am all about aesthetic and christmas house has that. I was looking for a a venue that would provide things such as tables, chairs, set up/down, coordinator, food, dj, valet, etc etc and christmas house was checking off all those boxes. I originally had made our arrangements with Janice the original owner, once Carrie took over I was worried that with under new ownership things would be less lenient but I was wrong! Carrie and her team were amazing! Vivianna was my coordinator and she was super helpful and kept in contact when I had crazy random ideas/questions. This venue is beyond beautiful and I just wanna point out its NOT haunted lol We added the after party package and the breakfast the day after was delicious! The server which I believe was carries son (sorry I forgot his name) was super attentive and it was nice sparking a chat with him. Cliff the DJ was on it he had the dancefloor popping. And I also wanna point out that the bartender makes BOMBBBB drinks!! I wish we had put down more than just the minimum we had about 100 people and those drinks didn't last past cocktail hour. The cake by Cucamonga Cakery was beautiful and I'm sure delicious (I had way too much anxiety to enjoy anything). My guests said the food was good! What a lovely experience to have had my wedding here but I also wanna point out some downsides because everyone deserves a honest review. My husband's grandpa's truck was broken into since it was parked outside the street of Christmas House which to no fault of their own of course but we didn't expect the area to have a opportunity of that to happen. Then apparently the valet had hit one of the guests cars with another guests car I didn't get alot of info as to what happened after. But let this not discourage anyone from what an amazing venue this is and the amazing attention to detail they provide to give you the wedding of your dreams. I hope to in the future see myself here again celebrating a future anniversary. Thank you Christmas...
Read moreMy husband and I got married April 1, 2023. It was their first wedding of the 2023 season. Everything went so smoothly, the day was perfect. Everything flowed so well
Jill, Viv and Carrie were all amazing when it came to planning my wedding. I live in Texas and they helped with the planning. I was worried about planning an out of state wedding but they helped ease my nerves and offered everything virtually. Their communication was incredible, they had perfection ideas and solutions. There was a slight chance of rain and they had a perfect back up plan for me incase anything happened.
The food was incredible, Spaggies is so good I am still dreaming about it. We used a lot of their recommended vendors, and they all lived up to the Christmas House expectations. I was also very impressed on how well they worked with outside vendors. We chose a photographer who never shot there before and we had a 3 way call planning the timeline, shot list. Carrie's experience as a wedding photographer was very helpful! We chose to not have any guests stay the night with us in the house and it was so peaceful to have the carriage room all to ourselves. Breakfast in the morning was a huge plus as well.
Overall, Thank you Carrie, Viv, Jill, Sam and all the other Christmas house staff for helping my husband and I have the most...
