We are avid claw machine players. We regularly go to claw arcades here in SoCal and all of Las Vegas. Most of the claw arcades we go to keep their machines well-stocked throughout the day so the pile of plushies are always at least the same level as the prize chute walls or higher. Not here. The plushies are minimal, just enough to cover the floors of the machines, if that. The staff members are usually very helpful at other arcades and want the guests to win so they constantly replenish and fluff the plushies making grabbing the toys easier for the guests. They even rush over to reposition the toys if they see any guests struggling to win. Not here at Kawaii Klaw of RC. The employees are not helpful, not super friendly, and don't replenish the machines at all. I think it's just this location. Kawaii Klaw in Buena Park is not like that. Also, when we spend $50 in the other arcades we usually get 12- 20+ nice plushies. We spent $50 here and only got like 6 toys that were a lot smaller than the toys at the other arcades. We won't come back here even with a discount on tokens. I'd rather drive to Orange County and give the arcades there my business. UPDATE We ended up having lunch at the food court and decided to give them another try. The 2nd experience was much better. Different staff makes a world of difference. The plushies were better, staff was replenishing the machines regularly, and also helping to fluff and reposition for customers. Much better experience. I had to give credit where credit is due and changed my review from...
Read moreI had an incredibly disappointing experience during my recent visit. The employees were visibly unhappy to be there, showing constant attitude and making no effort to be helpful or welcoming. The manager, unfortunately, was no better—rude and unwilling to resolve even basic issues.
To make matters worse, the place closes 30 minutes earlier than posted and stops offering coins to continue playing well before actual closing time. It’s hard to understand why a business would discourage people from playing more.
The most upsetting part was how my friends and I were treated. We were followed around the entire time, and when we went to exchange plushies, one of the employees deliberately delayed helping us—leaving for the back multiple times with no explanation. When she finally returned, she refused the exchange, claiming it was unsanitary because we had placed the plushies on the trash counter. This was inconsistent with past visits, where we had no issue doing the same thing. The plushies, coins, and counters are handled constantly and don’t appear especially sanitary to begin with—there were even employee meals left out on the counter.
There are no posted rules about where plushies can or can’t be placed, and we felt singled out, harassed, and unfairly treated throughout our visit. Being told we “lack common sense” by staff was completely uncalled for and incredibly...
Read moreClaw machines, often found in arcades, malls, and family entertainment centers, are a source of endless fascination and fun for kids. These brightly lit glass boxes are filled with colorful, cute plushies—teddy bears, animals, cartoon characters—that seem to smile invitingly from behind the glass. Children are instantly drawn to the soft, fluffy prizes and the thrill of trying to win one with a mechanical claw.
The experience of playing a claw machine is a mix of excitement, suspense, and hope. Kids carefully position the claw, eyes wide with concentration, and hold their breath as it descends. Whether it grabs a plushie or just misses, there’s always a cheer—or a groan—from the little crowd that gathers around. Parents often join in, either to help or to capture the joyful moment on camera.
What makes claw machines so magical for children isn’t just the prize—it’s the game itself. The blinking lights, cheerful sounds, and the possibility of winning a beloved plushie create a memory that sticks. When a child finally pulls out a stuffed animal and hugs it tight, the joy is unmistakable. Claw machines are more than just games; they’re tiny adventures full of laughter, determination, and delight.will come back again and get more next time...
