Trailhead is difficult to find. There are many short trails that end at a sign that says "Don't go past this sign." The trail basically parallels Mirage. Look for closures, late January through August (I think) do to mating and lambing of the local mountain sheep. Lots of birds when we were there. We did see a Crimson Flycatcher.

Magnesia Falls Canyon is beautiful. But be aware, the canyon is CLOSED from January 1st until September 30th every year for the Bighorn sheep. Please respect the closure.

Amazing mountain view! Too hot for hiking during summer time tho. If you do want to, you need to wear a big hat that covers your entire face, hike early in the morning so it won't be too hot, and bring lots and lots of water. Do not bring your dog. Too dangerous for pet. Otherwise go...
