For as long as I can remember my grandmother has always made it a must to have a Turkey and Ham from the Honey Baked Ham Co. if we as kids didn't see them both on the table it just wasn't the same to us , lol just spoiled l know but now that I have children of my own, I personally do what I can to keep the tradition strong, although my grandmother has moved on we still/l feel like thanks giving nor Christmas dinner wasn't complete without it. So you could only imagine how I felt when we first moved here to Hemet from L.A. and was unable to find one so we thought nearby, but we did well my husband did , because really he could careless about it but because he also was looking forward to seeing that big turkey and ham on the table, plus he felt bad seeing me trying my best to keep from crying, yes I said crying, lol old baby right but to me it was more than the turkey and ham it's what it represents and who. Which was family which means a lot to someone like myself because I no family just other foster kids and my mother well sometimes we didn't even have food to eat, but it also allowed me to remember my grandmother and what she was able to teach me in the time she was here with me/us and the simple but a a very big and significant memory part of my life my birthday sometimes fall on Thanksgiving and the last memory I have of my grandmother is before she passed away I remember she tried to have all the grandkids and kids up home and fixed everyone's favorite dish mines was macaroni and cheese but l/along with all the children was still looking for our Ham and Turkey and it happen to have been my birthday that year so we were able to spend Christmas Thanksgiving and New Years 6-7 months later she went home for good(she passed away due to health complications ) thank you honey baked ham company you're just as much as part of my family as my grandmother was/is Happy...
Read moreFirst of all, I love Honeybaked ham food products. But my recent experience attempting to order a "Quarter Ham Meal"" for my husband and it was a nightmare. First of all, the website was malfunctioning and wouldn't take my order. I tried calling, but they "don't take orders by phone" despite their technical problems. So I drove there, was assisted by a very nice lady who attempted to help me place the order. Long story short, instead of an $88 meal for the two of us, I had to spend almost $140 for ala carte, because when the employee called my order in, this item wasn't available by ordering this way. I'm 83 and disabled, my husband is 85...I had to drive and order at the store, plus ended up paying much more money than advertised. When I expressed how unhappy I was to the store manager, her response was "Sorry." No attempt to help, no explanation as to why I had to pay so much. Don't think I will be back.
UPDATE: Tried the contact email address from owner's response below; it doesn't work. Go figure. UPDATE # 2: As the email address provided by the owner was incorrect I called the store and spoke to the manager. She assured me she would speak to her district manager and “get right back to me” That was over 5 days ago...not a peep. How does this even come close to good customer service? FINAL UPDATE: Well, I was promised a ""$30 Gift Certificate" to 'make up for all the problems'. It never arrived. Either inept or deliberately misleading....next step is the Better Business Bureau. Who knows how many people have been...
Read moreWe placed an Easter dinner online order for 4 side dishes. We placed the order 2 weeks in advance, paid in full, and set the pickup time for 3 pm. on the Saturday before Easter. We kept getting emails confirming our order, and I got a notification via email that my order was ready. I arrived at 3 pm, as scheduled, and was told that two of my items ( cheezy potatoes and yam souffle) were sold out, and they were not available. I was livid. They tried to make a joke out of it, and I said it was not funny. Our Easter dinner for many people was planned around 2 of my 4 side dishes. I thought I would be picking up a bag of 4 items, ready for pick up. They offered a refund saying supplies were not delivered as planned. Not my issues. My order should have been packed and waiting that morning out of available supplies. They sold my items as supply lasted and before I arrived. I was out of luck and had to totally re-plan our Easter dinner. I will never order from Honey Baked Ham again. Terrible customer service for items, pre-ordered, and paid well in advance....
