My daughter and I were so excited to visit Firehouse Wines. She had never been before and I had bragged to her how great this winery was. We drove by many Firehouse signs with trucks on our way from Minnesota and couldn't wait. Two years ago I had an amazing experience there and bought several bottles of wine, but two weeks ago we had TERRIBLE service. We sat at the counter for our wine tastings. Our server kept helping other people and told us that we needed to wait because she "needed to help paying customers". We were RETURNING PAYING customers and had every intention of buying numerous bottles. When we finally got served after being blown off, we bought one bottle and left. We will not be returning nor will we recommend going there ever again. What a...
Read moreI have no idea what the wines are like because I never received my tasters when we visited. It was a very disappointing visit. We arrived and we given papers (him: beer & Me: wine plus menu we asked for). He received his beer samples. I never received my wine, & no one took a food order. He asked for water and received empty glass!! The only reason there are 3 stars instead of 1 is due to manager tried to make it right (though entirely too late). When we go back to area will not be returning before we leave state! It wasn’t like we were there for just samples (you pay for them). We wanted food. Also the other two wineries nearby we left with over $100 at each place. Firehouse lost and we lost due to...
Read moreFantastic visit initially, to which I was planning on buying a few shirts, a pint glass, and a couple bottles of wine for friends. I do not drink alcohol, so I asked questions about some of the wine; the first ladies I spoke with were friendly and understanding but the last lady I spoke with was off putting, like I was wasting her time or I should already know wine 101. The experience was poor enough for me to walk out and not purchase any souvenirs to bring back home for my firefighter friends. Very disappointing. Also, a bit overpriced - $30 for an empty copper vessel vs $40 with beer? A real shame - I looked forward to this as much as Mount...
