The improvements made over the past few years have really made a difference. There's a great bike path along with innovative bike racks. Every structure added to this park is a work of art, including the children's play areas. Rapid Creek runs right through the park. Memorial Pond is also stocked seasonally for fishing. Unfortunately, not everyone has respect for the beauty found here and the grassy areas around benches are inundated with cigarette butts, and if you look into the water anywhere within a stone's throw you'll find trash.

Granted, this is in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic so our experience may differ from yours. The park was clean (for the most part) and the many playgrounds were in good states of repair. There were however a lot of transients in the area. They didn’t bother us or even seem to acknowledge us for the most part but we did have to leave an area because our children were being exposed to marijuana smoke without regard for their health or our position on drug use. Read moreVery peaceful and calming place amidst the city crowd. There is the Berlin wall memorial in the park that enhances its value. A creek flows through the park so you can enjoy this beauty as well. Ideal place to take a break from your hectic travel or spend a quality lunch break with your loved ones.
