Pour 54 Taphouse — Restaurant in Rapid City

My girlfriend and I went here during our trip to Black Hills National Forest. This place is beyond a doubt our favorite food and drink spot in town.

The selection and variety of beers was really nice and due to their system of pricing, really affordable. Was able to try multiple beers that were all really good.

The PIZZA was phenomenal! I’ve had great pizza many places across the country and the pizza here is by far my favorite. Sorry Chicago, sorry NYC, sorry Dante’s in Omaha but this place has you beat. Shout out to putting extra thought into the presentation by actually serving the pizza on a raised and perforated metal rack so the crust doesn’t steam itself.

The atmosphere here was also great. It’s three stories of seating and the ambience is really relaxing. I’d feel great coming here with a group or friends or just an intimate evening with my partner.

I can’t wait to come back here next time I come...

Really nice experience here - friendly staff and a good variety. Good overall value, the price per ounce shakes out better than getting beers at a bar, and having free darts and shuffleboard is a bonus. The taps have a lengthier list of sours than I would perhaps choose, but that's all up to personal preference. It was really nice to see Sierra Nevada's barrel aged Torpedo, and all the beers list ABV and IBU info. The taps could maybe benefit from style or brewery sorting, but the random nature also encourages active browsing of the assortment. I'll definitely come back to try some more brews! This place is a must visit if you enjoy craft local state beers.

We have only come across another place like this once in New Glarus, WI.

No bartenders, you pay by the oz. and get to pour your own beer to try! You get a wristband, tap your wristband on the tapper, and pour as little as you want to try or as much as want to have a full glass. Its a great way to try a litle bit of everything. 54 beers on tap! From craft beers, seltzers, ciders, they do have 2 or 3 non alcoholic choices as well rootbeer and another juice
