I was extremely let down by this company. My family and I have been purchasing furniture from Best Price for close to 20 years now. I don't live in the area anymore but decided to drive up there to buy my new bed and living room furniture anyways, as they've always been great to work with.
I purchased my bed and couch set on July 20th. I was hesitant to buy the bed because they didn't have a headboard that I liked, and I was set on purchasing them together as I didn't want a bed to sit without a headboard for any length of time. Pat, the owner, said if I found a headboard elsewhere, he would order the brackets for me, and they would arrive in time for my stuff to be delivered and set up. Delivery was scheduled for August 3rd.
On the delivery day, the drivers had no clue what I was referring to when I asked about the brackets that were supposed to be included. I reached out to Pat, who assured me they were running behind and that he would mail them to me upon arrival.
2-3 weeks went by, so I followed up with Pat. He assured me they would be in soon and that he would have them in the mail. I followed up again in the middle of September after I still had not heard an update on the brackets. Pat, yet again, assured me they were ordered and on the way.
Middle of October, I followed up with Pat AGAIN. This time I was informed that there had been an issue with their payment when they ordered the part, but he again assured me it'd been ordered correctly and he would call me as soon as he had a tracking number.
Today, October 31st, I followed up with Pat for the final time. He gave me the runaround again about not receiving a confirmation tracking number from the company he ordered from. Apparently, he had emailed them multiple times without a response back. This time instead of letting him brush me off, I asked for the company directly he was speaking with and the part I needed to order myself. I reached out to both the bed manufacturer and the company Pat was supposedly "unable to reach," and both responded within hours with a solution to my problem.
Clearly, Pat could not provide his end of the deal and thought he could keep giving me excuses until I eventually stopped following up. Had he just been honest about not being able to follow through on his end, I could have had this handled on my own in minutes. I'm disappointed that what started as such a great experience quickly turned into a very poor one. I'm a business owner, so keeping my business in the community I grew up in was extremely important to me. Pat works at Best Price furniture. I've spoke to him the day I bought the chairs and four other times about the delivery that is now taken 5 weeks. I see others have had this problem, but I don't think that everyone knows that this must be due to Pat. His terrible sense of decency his horrible customer service and terrible disposition feels vindictive and maybe that this delay has been created by him for me. He is rude. He smells bad and I overall just can't stand to be on the phone with him. I called to find out when my chairs will be here because he didn't have the decency to call me the fourth time to tell me that they were actually in town in to be delivered because he just " wasn't sure" if it could be delivered today. I never raised my voice and I never treated him poorly. He has decided to tell me things like think about it, which is exactly what I wish he would do. Put yourself in your customers position and talk to them like you haven't delivered their goods in 5 weeks. I deplore you to find somewhere else to get furniture. We bought two different couches, multiple accessories and now two recliners from this place and we're happy until this purchase. Read morePurchased a queen size bed. Discovered it was extremely low quality while assembling the support posts and slats. Support posts would not stay attached despite all my efforts and the slats are screwed randomly into the bed rail, not to mention splits in the frame construction throughout. I immediately called the store and asked for a refund as the bed WAS defective and could not support the essential functions of effectively supporting the mattress. I was berated and told that I basically didn't know what I was talking about and the bed was not defective. Also, the bed description specifically states "providing a unique platform from which to style your bedroom" which led me to believe this was a platform bed. That was not the case and I had to spend an additional $95 for the foundation. The owner/salesperson who berated me said because it was advertised as a 'bed' that meant it was a traditional bed and not a platform. I suggest he does some research as all other actual 'platform' descriptions on the website refer to the item as a Bed. Clearly there is a lack of basic knowledge of their own products at this establishment, not to mention poor customer service and unacceptable rude behavior.
