We found the coolest spot for the kids! The food court was so perfect and the carnival games were amazing! We noticed everyone was winning large stuffed animals but unfortunately we were flying back so we didn’t play any games. #reno #circuscircushotel #nevada

Not gonna lie…..I didn’t know what to expect with this property but truth be told, I hadn’t been to the casinos in a long time and it was the only Caesar’s property that would comp us for our stay during the Super Bowl. I have to say, I was quite impressed. First off, I had only been to this hotel some years ago to gamble. Didn’t think much of it. But years later, as mentioned, we stayed bc it was the only hotel that would comp us, so we took advantage of it. Appears the rooms and property may’ve gotten a facelift bc I don’t remember it looking the way it did. The rooms for sure had a more updated look compared to photos I saw online. The room we had was a corner unit and it was very spacious. Sure, it’s not luxurious but it was nice. The hotel is centrally located and easy to navigate; it’s connected to El Dorado and Silver Legacy, so you can walk to all hotels INDOORS. Hotel offers some good eats (we liked Madame Butterwork's) but there are all kinds of options. There’s a food court with cheap/fast eats which is sure to make everyone happy, or you can walk to the other hotels for some fine dining. The gym is pretty big. I think there were like 4-5 treadmills, 3-4 ellipticals, 2-3 bikes and some weights (no free weights; just machines). The check-in line was LONG, but it moves fast AND they also offer self check-in. There are six hotel elevators, but they always seem to be crowded; just be patient; it moves faster than you think. Finally, the concierge/valet desk was awesome. They were quick to ask if we needed help and offered their expertise in a friendly manner. Props to Michael who helped us print some football pools when the business center was closed. We’d always wait to meet up with friends right there, and the staff would often ask if we’d been helped but we were just waiting around. The customer server at this resort is beyond amazing. I get it, it’s not a high-end hotel, but between the staff, the convenience and particularly just our room, we really enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

This was not my first choice but traveling with a little one this had the midway so why not, right? Let's start with the free airport shuttle they provide for ROW guests. Their website states the last shuttle leaves the airport at 12am. We hustle off the plane, get to the waiting area at 11:53. I see a ROW parked so we walk there. I ask if this is is the shuttle to Circus Circus. He legit laughed at us and said it's the limo shuttle. Well... ok then. He then said the shuttle will be arriving soon. Would you believe he was full of sh!t? We waited until 12:10 and nothing came. The website to track the shuttle doesn't work. We had to pay for a ride ro the airport. Glad those resort fees are going to a good use. We check in and are told our room is in the Sky Tower like its a bad thing. She then said we can stay closer for $20 more a night. Looking back maybe paying the extortion fee would have made for a much better vacation. The room in the Sky Tower was rundown with sticky residue on surfaces and in drawers. We were exhausted so we just fell asleep. We had a good time walking to the Biggest Little Latino Festival. That was a very pleasant surprise. The following morning we go to the registration desk, extend our stay for another day since we were not able to do it earlier (3rd party booking). She asked if we needed the room cleaned, sure. That would be great. I leave a tip for housekeeping while I get breakfast. We return to our room and see the money is gone but nothing was cleaned. I see the housekeeping cart outside the room. We clean up, get ready for a park playdate and as I am heading out I ask her to please pick up the room. She did take the tip for not cleaning so it was a reasonable request. I come back a few hours later to see the place cleaned. That is normally a good thing, right? We'll in this case they removed EVERYTHING thinking we checked out. Would you believe housekeeping didn't follow protocols? They were able to locate 1/8 of our stuff in lost and found. The security team was unbelievably callous and emotionless as he told me the rest of our stuff is in the compactor. They had us wait the entire time on the smoky casino floor without offering a chair, something for my child to do to entertain her. I'm asked to basically inventory what was in the room. I never thought to do that. Who thinks to inventory their belongings on vacation expecting housekeeping to THROW EVERYTHING AWAY? The worst part is my child having zero clean clothes for the rest of her vacation. They offered for me to buy their crap at their overpriced shop in the casino but happily told be there are no childrens items. The zero compassion from staff during this horrible experience was more devastating than everything being sent to the compactor. We walked at night to the nearest open store that would have clothes for my child. I didn't know the area so I didn't realize I was walking in unsafe areas with my child. The security manager called while I was walking in the cold dark night to give me a contact number. Through a broken voice trying to hold my emotions in, I tell him it's not a good time as I am walking to find clothes for my child. You know he never offered to have the shuttle take us somewhere to replace basic essentials and get clothes for a small child? The heartless staff involved through every step made the ordeal so much worse. Now my child has a great memory of the hotel staff throwing away all her things. I will never ever recommend anyone to stay here.

UPDATE - WHY??? Why did I take them up on another offer to stay at Circus Circus? Front desk clerk argue with me about how I didn't do the kiosk thing correctly after it said "credit card does not match ID". Apparently it was because I stopped my cc, and your not supposed to, even though that is one of the options on the screen. Clerk (Noelia) made sure to tell me twice it was my fault. Thanks, very helpful. Reservation was for the Main tower, I got the Skytower. I give up. It's been a few years since we have stayed here and unfortunately will probably be the last time. I received an email inviting me to stay there which stated they had newly remodeled rooms, which made us want to go ahead and book here instead of our usual other option. Well, our visit was less than satisfying. We drove up Sunday afternoon to check in and were told there was no valet service - park across the street, and walk back to check in (was not allowed to keep my car in their driveway while checking in). Not a good start. Check in line had about 10 parties waiting to check in and only two front desk folks (after about 10 minutes one more front desk agent showed up). Once in the room, I was confused how they could state the rooms were remodeled(?). Bathroom was great (only one hook to hang towels), the room was painted, but the furniture was still old and scratched up, the chair was creaking with every move and the thermostat was very dirty (not huge, but very noticeable). The casino had no live tables, so we had to go somewhere else to play - I prefer to just stay in my hotel to gamble. As far as the 'Resort Fee', it lists 2 water bottles (helpful on a 100 degree day), but never got that - I called down to see if they could be brought over and never got them. There were a couple of coffee pods with a sign stating they will be refreshed every morning, they are not. I called the 2nd morning to get a couple, but ended up running to Starbucks instead (Why are they charging a resort fee???). If this covers the parking, maybe think about charging the people parking in your lot and not staying at your hotel. In any case, with all the alternative hotels in Reno I will not be booking another room at Circus Circus. I'll keep the old memories of what they used to be years ago. One plus, we enjoyed the view from our room.
