We were here a few years ago and had a great experience multiple times, so we wanted to stop by this time. We walked up to a "Please wait to be seated" sign an no host of any kind to be found. After waiting for about 10 minutes, a hostess finally came out. She was not very friendly at all as we asked if we could sit in the "patio" area. It seems like we were bothering her to do her job. We were seated and waited another 10-15 minutes to be greeted by waitstaff. We ordered drinks immediately, and when they arrived, we ordered all appetizers and food to make sure we got things going. The food was delivered timely, along with more drinks. The quality of the food and drinks is great, but some of the employees don't see too happy to be there. We watched another hostess play on her phone while people lined up to be greeted. Our server was off, so a new server, Amanda, helped us. She was great! We saw her working more tables than anybody previously. The food is great, and if the staff was better, it would be a 5 star experience.

We were looking for a bite to eat while walking between the 3 casinos in downtown Reno & we should have kept going and waited for an open table at another place. There were limited restaurants open for lunch. We were able to make “reservations” for 2 adults and seated. Our waitress took our drink order & food order. The Shirley temple didn’t come with a garnish & margarita was okay . Looks can be deceiving...We decidedly to share some appetizers - the pretzel was crisp - however the nacho cheese had a bad consistency & even worse after taste. I don’t like Dijon mustard but that was more preferable to the cheese. The nachos were super greasy and didn’t sit well with either myself or husband ...we were so disappointed but grateful we didn’t go for entrees because we definitely would have been way more disappointed...it may be better for you but if we ever are back in Reno - we will look elsewhere...

Earlier today, I stopped by here for lunch. I haven’t been inside the Eldorado since before the pandemic shut the doors of the building. The menu they have has been scaled down and still boasts a number of favorites that both locals and tourists enjoy. Today’s selection was the grilled chicken sangwich with beer battered fries and a side of 1000 Island to dip the fries. The food was impeccable. The chicken tasted super fresh, the fries had a nice crisp on the outside while being fluffy on the inside, and the overall vibe in the room was one that made me feel as if they hadn’t skipped a beat. A number of locals don’t always ‘think’ to hit up the casinos as we all have our favorite Mom & Pop places. I strongly recommend making time go do see the staff, grab a house brew, and something delicious from the menu. Enjoy, my friends! Thanks for taking a moment to read this.

Fair warning: This place will play games with charges that are not listed on the menu. An example of this would be charging $2.00 for a to-go order.

Once we were charged this, I asked the woman (Nalim?) we ordered from if notice of the charge was on the menu. She told me it isn't.

I told her it isn't right to charge a client for something without advance knowledge. For reference, she had not even handed us the bill. She simply took the card and ran it. So we had no opportunity to even see that they were adding $2.

Anyway, she told me that this charge is something corporate decided to do and that she was "just following orders."

So.... in one sentence she disclaimed responsibility, blamed corporate, and used the old Nuremberg defense.

You might be thinking that this is only $2. And that's true. But it's the principle.

In any event, we figured out a way to avoid this fee - order your food for the restaurant and then just ask for a box. The muppet admitted that while this is the same thing, she wouldn't charge for it. Only difference is they now had to clean a table 🤔

A side point. We were also lied to about the fact that the pretzels were made in-house each morning. This is not the case, as confirmed by the person pulling one from a bag. He did confirm; however, that the pizzas are made in-house - in the event you...

My husband and I use to love this place. our go to stop when in Reno. After today's experience never again.

Seating wasd easy and straightforward and the happy hour menu is simple but nice. it was the fact that the waitress rushed through our order of food. Got all the boys (3), but when she got to me it was drinks. no ma'am I want more then a pretzel.

when the food came she forgot to put in my buffalo wings. I asked if the wings were coming and she told me they would be right out. I wouldn't have been upset if she had told me she had forgotten and I do understand not telling me as well, people are jerks. I would have cancelled that part of my order so when it did arrive everyone wasn't waiting for me to finish.

Then the receipt. paid cash and change back that was extremely incorrect. if I didn't double check she would have received a $15 tip on a $60 bill. she gave me the change for a neighbors bill that was $70. so received $10 change plus was going to and did eventually leave $5 tip.

The issue was fixed and an apology was given but the entire experience put a bad taste in my mouth. My husband wants to return because everyone has a bad day. But I am good. There are bars all over for him to...

Went here for dinner while in Reno as friends recommended. Very busy but multiple servers. Husband had scotch, friend had wine and I had water. I had the Reuben, husband had the smash burger, and friend had chicken sandwich. When the food came, it was brought out by someone other than our server. She asked if we needed anything. Husband ask for ketchup and water as my glass and friend’s were empty. She bought him a water but not anyone else. Husband had to flag down our server because his order was wrong. My sandwich was very thin on corned beef and the rye bread was burnt. Server bought husband corrected order but no water for our empty glasses. I managed half the sandwich and we asked again for drinks. Second scotch was watered down and I finally got a glass of water. To be fair, our server had two large tables by us and I don’t know how many more. I was very disappointed with my sandwich and the service as we had been told how fabulous the food was. Might have just been a bad night but it will be my only meal there. Husband and friend said their...
