We were told it was a 20 minute wait, after more than 20 minutes we were told it was going to be an extra 10 minutes because the waiters are behind but to order drinks and they will be served to us. Even though we ordered drunks they werent served to us until we were seated which did take an extra 10 minutes. We were also seated in the corner of the restaurant near the kitchen door. We passed a few open tables but were seated else where. I asked my friends if they were ok being seated in the corner and they said they didnt mind, but I was bothered by it. We ordered appetizers which were delicious and pleasing to the eye. While we sat there eating, the waiters were hitting the back of the chairs with there body because there wasnt much walk room between the bar and our chairs.. mind you we were seated in the corner. As we continue our dinner the entrees were not so appealing. The entrees were smaller than the appetizers and what was said on the menu was definitely not served on the plate. My friend order a well done filet mignon which was under cooked. It was still bloody in the middle and we had to send it back. When it came back the 2and time it was completely charred on the outside, not edible. We let the waiter know and he said free dessert for her. I just about lost it, I asked to see the manager. I notified the manager about the extra long wait, being seated in the corner and was it because my husband was Mexican and I had my black friend with me and that's why we passed all the open tables and got sat in the corner?! My friend ordered well done filet mignon and it was not cooked to perfection and we sent it back only to get it back overly cooked and not edible and you still want her to pay $44 for her meal but offer her free dessert!! That's not ok. He asked what he could do to make it right I told him to comp her meal because she couldn't eat it and he agreed but also gave us 2 desserts for free. I'm happy that the manager did what was asked but the entrees are not worth the money. If you do decide to go here, eat the appetizers only and you will be filled and spend half as much. If you want quality steak go to outback steakhouse or Ijjis 2. You spend less money and have better...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat food, relaxed vibe, and solid service ā Wild River Grille, Reno After a long day at a convention, a few colleagues and I decided to unwind at Wild River Grille. We started off in the bar area while waiting for our table, catching a bit of the Duke vs. Houston final four game on the TVs. The bar had a laid-back atmosphereālively but not too loudāwhich was perfect after a packed day.
Once seated, we were lucky to get a spot by the window with a view of the bridge. The dining area has white tablecloths, which gives it a nice touch of class, but itās not overly formalājust a comfortable, relaxed space that still feels special. Thereās also outdoor seating available, which looked like a great option, especially on a pleasant evening.
The menu had a wide range of options. We all took our serverās recommendation and went with the pork chop for our main, and we shared an order of mussels to start. The mussels were excellentāserved in a rich, beer-based broth with chorizo and tomato. The sauce was packed with flavor, and dipping the bread in it was addictive.
The pork chop was a standout. Brined and perfectly cooked, it was juicy and full of flavor, with a nice sear on the outside. It was definitely bigger than the 14 oz listed, so come hungry. I paired it with a glass of Chianti, and it hit the spot.
Service was friendly and attentive, and everything came out in good time. We made a reservation online, which was simple and smooth. Pricing was very reasonable for the quality and portions.
Overall, Wild River Grille delivered exactly what we were hoping for: great food, a relaxing setting, and a smooth dining experience. Iād absolutely come back next time...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNye dinner here wasa great choice. Made reservations right after Thanksgiving. The resto called 2 times to check if the rvsp is good or need modify. On the day of got there early 15 mins and was sat right away at a table. Luckily my friend joined me last minute for nye dinner. . Nye dinner was pre fixe. I chose the new England clam chowder, seared scallops, steak, and all desserts. For 99 per person which was worth it for the ambiance and food was good too. . Starter - potatoes was purple and paired with caviar. It was good but then I think we should have had the champagne first to pair with it, but forgot about it til the end. The potato was kind of hard, softer would have been better. . Clam chowder - lots of potatoes in it. Flavor was good, a few sprinkle of tobasco made it more tastier. Not the best but wasn't bad, it was ok. I rather get this over salad for sure. . Seared scallop with sweet potato puree, this was really good. After our meal we ordered another round for additional 16 per person. . 9oz sirloin - medium rare, it was more ok the medium well, but it was ok. I liked it. . Dessert - coconut cheesecake was different and it was nice and rich. Peppermint chocolate brownie was my favorite. The fortune cookie dipped chocolate was good. Loved the presentation with the sparkler candle which was such a nice vibe all evening with each table getting one. . Champagne comes with the dinner, and it was a good cheers. . I recommend parking in one of the casino and walk over. We had a nice dinner and then enjoyed some fireworks after outside. It was fun and new year eve in reno again is a yes. Hope this review helps and thanks for reading. Have a...
