Ichiban at the Silver Legacy hotel in Reno! Our chef was absolutely delightful and the food was AMAZING. Everything was cooked in small amounts so you could really get the taste of all the food that was gonna be coming. We ate so much! Started off with miso soup, and then rice, vegetables, chicken, shrimp, lobster, and steak! The price was unbeatable for all the things you get and the flavors and the entertainment! 10/10 would come back here. #ichiban #restaurantstory #foodietiktok #foodiesoftiktok #foodiesofinstagram #asianfood #birthdaydinner

This was not my 1st visit. I do enjoy the food. The quality is consistent. My only suggestion is to eat while it's hot, and it tastes much better that way! The entertainment you'll receive by the preparation of your meal greatly depends on the chef you're assigned. Most I've had a little sense of humor and a lot of talent. This last time, it seemed as if the chef had done the same routine 1000 times and was in a hurry to finish the show. It was getting late on a Monday, so I have an understanding. Groups are sat together, unless you have a large party, apx 10 or more, expect to be seated with other guests. This style of seating can enhance or diminish the level of enjoyment you experience, or you can usually keep to yourself, and it makes no difference . That's where part of the fun is up to you! I do give my recommendation if you've never been or if you're looking to entertain a larger group. If you're in the mood for a quiet, quick meal, this is not the place. A Reno resident for 13+yrs, working downtown, I've noticed this place is a popular attraction to tourists and more of a special occasion to locals. It's also popular amongst guys trying to win attention when asking me out! Lol. Cheers! Ps. My food must have been pretty good if I couldn't wait to eat until after the pictures! = what's left of shrimp, lobster & filet mingon.

Dined in with my 2 kids and we had a good time. They don't do fire shows anymore due to not being able to install hood fans, but our teppanyaki chef was entertaining and super funny, Rafael. He kept everyone at the table included and had jokes to go throughout the dinner. The ambience was beautiful, Japanese style and the staff all dressed in kimonos, made it unique and exciting to experience. My Asian pear mojito was refreshing and clean, I would've ordered another but watching the alcohol intake. Lol. You can inform the chef if you want less sauce, etc. They're very aware of your orders. Servers were on top despite being short staffed. Greeters at the front were friendly warm and welcoming. Even though we didn't get the fire show we had a great time, I would come back again especially since the ambience was so fun and enjoyable. Rafael was definitely the highlight of the dinner! Great personality for this type of experience!

I made a reservation for 12 individuals for my sister’s birthday on January 25th at 6:30pm. My family, friends and I have been here multiple times with an excellent experience but slowly it has been degrading. Come Friday the 25th, we arrive 10 minutes before our scheduled time at 6:30pm. The front desk gave us a buzzer and told us we would be called in a couple of minutes. We were NOT seated until 6:45pm. Everyone in our party had arrived and were seated, except for one but they were in the casino just a minute away and gave me her order so we wouldn’t hold up everyone else. The waitress approached our table and wanted to start taking our orders but noticed not everyone was there. We explained that we can continue and that we know their order. She gave us the towels without introducing herself. When the last guest arrived with the birthday girl the waitress did not bother to hand a towel to them even though the waitress was still at our table with the towel basket. She left and didn’t come back for another 10 minutes brought out the miso soup and she immediately begin taking the food order without asking for our drink order or explaining the menu. She left to grab the crab cucumber salad and drinks. We had to wait another 10 mins more or less for our drinks and salads. Then another 15 minutes for our chef. No interaction with staff, the waitress would come and go without interacting with us. We sat at least 45 minutes before the cooking show started. Immediately we realized the chef was inexperienced. He never verified our orders which led to a huge mixup. We were shorted on food, one of my guests did not receive her chicken, and the chef was close to burning the food. There was a lot of inconsistencies. Again, our visits prior had some time delays but they were great experiences that made up for the time issue. As we finished our meals and time to pay, it took them over 20 minutes to return our cards and receipts. For my guest who did not receive her chicken, she had to wait an additional 20 mins because her card kept declining but she showed the cashier her bank statements that clearly showed she had funds in her account. As she approached the cashier to ask about the hold up she offered to pay in cash so we can leave but the cashier had to wait for a manager since my guest gave her a 100 dollar bill and the cashier couldn’t break it down. Our party spent over $600 dollars for food and 1 star service. The attitude and demeanors of the young staff was obvious throughout our experience. During the end of our meal a guest from a different party had a health scare and management and a few others from the staff were directly assisting the situation. For the rest of the staff they would stand and were gawking at the situation but not assisting in any way. They were whispering and making faces towards the situation to each other. That same night we called to speak to a manager but informed us that we have to speak to HR. We followed up on Monday and asked to speak to a manager and the person over the phone verified she was a manager. We explained our experience and what issues we had that night and in regards to the health scare of another guest she justified that the staff is supposed to provide assistance if needed. But with that occurrence the guest was already being assisted by 5 individuals from the management and staff team. The manager then informed us that she would have to relay this information to the manager of that night since she was only an assistant manager. At the beginning of the call I asked if she was a manager and she said yes. We were told a manager would follow up and we have yet to hear from someone. As for the cashier the specific young person did not have authority to perform bigger transactions. as for the chef, throughout his act we cheered him on even through his struggles. My one worry was the fire and things tossed around in the...

I absolutely adore Ichibans. It has been my most favorite resturant to go to. With that being said I need to explain my 3 star. I have not been able to go to Ichiban since the beginning of the pandemic. At first it was closes. The casino it was in was closed down. Ichibans moved to the Eldorado casino. It was my first time at the new location. In June my daughter went to Ichiban with her father's side of the family. She expressed that it lost something. She really felt it was a bad night and wrote it off as so. This August she took me for an early birthday present. I was delighted. The staff going in was busy but nice. The resturant was running at full capacity and we barely got reservations as it was. When went to.our table and our server was absolutely 5 star. She was amazing, she was extremely attentive and there is nothing negative I could ever say. Our chef came and he was very good as well. He was fun he was awesome and he included my grandkids in everything. We had 7 amount us and a party of 3 was also at the table. Our chef was very good again it's nothing I could say negative about him except since he was wearing a mask (I would never complain on that choice) I was having extreme difficulty hearing what he was saying. My son in law was having the time of his life and I was delighted to see my grandkids interact so again no complaints.

So then why am I giving the a 3 star? The food was not the same. The fried rice was ok. Usually it is so phenomenal I take everyone's home with me and I enjoy it for days to come. The cucumber salad had large cucumbers pieces in it not the thinly sliced ones they normally have which prevented it from absorbing the flavor it normally did. Our appetizers of shrimp and calamari were rubbery and in excess of an overpowering lemon flavor. Again the unique flavor they once had was gone. My meal which consisted of the filet mignon, lobster and more shrimp was prepared. The shrimp had less lemon but was still chewy as was the lobster. The filet mignon was prepared as ordered. It was a great cut of meat just a little salty. I did enjoy the steak.

Whatever they changed in their menu to accommodate the Eldorado row they need to change back. They need to return to the quality and taste of food that I have enjoyed for a very long time. I was sadden at this and I never said a word to my daughter because the prices are high and I did not want to seem ungreatful.. I would like to say one more time that the staff were a perfect 10. Never once did they present themselves without a smile even when they were walking to and from the table. Amazing. In a world were a lot of Americans are furious they have to.go back to work instead of getting paid to stay home Ichiban kept it's...

Before you consider dinning here. I NEED to emphasize please READ THE REVIEWS! Be prepared to experience terrible service from the person claiming to be the "manager". Prior to our arrival I made reservations for a group of 3 guests. When making a reservation it is clear the restaurant itself are compromising to accomodate the guest. Well I sat down with my group and the manager Sophi aproached us in a very nasty and agressive way demanding for my group to move so she could sit a group of 7. I disliked her approach and I also consider it was unfair. Since there were other people that could be moved. Why us!? Sophi stated " I am not willing to move this people, You need to move or I need you to leave!" All I asked was for an explanation as to what policy states that and individual has assigned seating or that you MUST be relocated and NOT be able to enjoy dinner with your group?! I didnt argue and remained calmed! But I did request to speak to a superior, since Sophi refused to provide her superior's contact information therfore I could file a compliant against her. Instead my group and I were accused of making a "scene". Pleased to mention there were witnesses that can testify and state no violence or loud voice were utilized from our behalf to address the situation. I have videos of the inccident that can demonstrate. I would like to file a complaint and advise others to CONSIDER a better dinning experience to prevent a similar situation. As you can read from previous reviews I am NOT the only person with a similar inciddent. When I requested the owner contact information from various emoloyee's I was DENIED the information. The employee's responded with fear of any repercussion agaisnt them from manager Sophi and refused to assist us. Lastly Sophi with your lack of professionalism and incompetence to serve customers you shoud consider working at Mcdonalds with your poor attitude and work ethics. Unfortunately they are questionable If you are fit for the position. You smirked in my face yesterday threatning to call security insinuating you were the owner of the establishment! REFLECT ON YOUR BEHAVIOR AND ACKNOWLEDGE YOU HAVE A JOB THAT FEEDS YOU BECAUSE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS!

Ultimately treat everyone equally and...
