Went to see Shazam, my son and I were stoked about it. Movie said it started at 10:30.. I chose to go here for the first time instead of just driving an hour to Beavercreek to the Greene because it was closer and my buddy talked highly about this place. Yeah, never will I go back. I completely “ understand you get what you pay for “ so anyways, got there and the rude young lady at the desk says “ Yeah I have no record of Shazam being played tonight” I said okay well online it says it starts at 10:30, then you could hear the rudeness come out when she says “ well there’s nothing in my system that says that” “sometimes it’s not the same online as it is in store” ohhh really? Well ain’t that just some false advertising. I honestly wanted to just leave but my son didn’t want to drive all the way to Beavercreek in his car seat and it was almost 11 anyways so we went and seen Pokémon Instead. The movie was great, but the screen sounded like it was about to blow up, reminded me of watching a movie outside while camping with the bug zapper buzzing in my ears. The seats suck, you honestly have to be skinny and not too large to fit in them comfortably, there’s no room, they are so close I felt like I was in middle school about to watch a play again. $9 bucks for my son and I , I thought well hell yeah im saving money lol well now I understand why it was $9 bucks. Then spent more on 2 bags of candy and 1 cup of soda ($15) bucks . Yeah my first experience was absolute trash so I don’t recommend for anyone & I won’t be going there again. I will definitely drive the hour or hour and a half that it takes to go to the regal in Beavercreek or the movies at the Greene , and pay whatever for comfortable seats and good customer service. Read moreTheaters not updated and the seats are really uncomfortable. Only drinks offered is the bottled drinks and diet fountain. When I asked About the situation they replied that they already know and where supposed to get more syrup on Tuesday. Tuesday was Christmas day. Management should have known and planned in advance for this. On top of that they know and they aren't telling anybody about it so we have to find out for themselves. The manager on duty did not seem to care one bit. Plus the theater smells like an armpit. This is the only night me and my fiancee have had off together in months and we are both horribly disappointed. This is the saturday after Christmas for a 10:20pm movie just in case management reads this.
Update. My fiancee and I just got home. The movie itself was the only redeeming quality of that theater. We haven't been in a few years and I am reminded why. Our clothes smell awful from the seats, Everything was sticky Including the arm rests. Also the extremely overpriced popcorn tasted terrible. I always finish popcorn and have loved it since I was a kid. I couldn't this time. It was stale and I was vignetting half way through the movie. I suspect from the popcorn. The staff where cold and not caring. The management even more so. Theater was tiny and the wholenight should have been spent at home watching tv instead. I really hope somebody from management reads this. I know I will be calling corporate about this when i get back in state Tuesday from work. Read moreI went to the amc Richmond Indiana location Christmas day to watch a movie, figured there wouldn't be many people I really wanted to see the movie. Well my movie started at 4:10 I got there at 3:40 and the line was so long it was almost to the depot. After waiting in line for 30 minutes (I already purchased my ticket online and I'm a amc stubs member) I go inside to see if they have a preferred line for the stubs members. Of course they don't and they also only had ONE person at the register doing tickets and like 3 people standing around doing nothing. Well I asked to see a manager because my movie already started and I'm still waiting in line So I wanted my ticket canceled. Staff was extremely rude and wasn't helpful told me to call 800 . Well after 20 (not joking they kept hanging up on me)calls to the 800 number they told me I could only get my refund from the location I was at. So I ask to speak to a manager again to get this straighten out. Well the manager would NOT come out of the office to help me. So I didn't get refunded, I paid for a movie I didn't even get to see, Staff was extremely rude and managers didn't even what to help fix the problem. I will be canceling know membership after this month and I will not be back.
