I normally don't write restaurant reviews. I normally just chalk up my restaurant experience as it is what it is. But after today, I have to vent, My office usually orders lunch from Room Service in Ridgeland, MS and have for a while. The food is always good. Customer service and delivery service not so great. But today was the worst experience I have had. I called in an order for 6 people about 11:40 a.m. and I went about 12:00 p.m. I knew that there was going to be a wait so I figured by 12:30 p.m. I would be out. At 12:40 p.m. I went to the counter to check on my order and it still wasn't ready. About 12:50 p.m. a lady comes by and says ma'am we are out of shredded chicken and we are going to the other store in Jackson, MS (which by the way is about 20 minutes one way) to get some or would you rather have grilled chicken. Really!!!! You could not have told me that an hour ago. I said ma'am at this point grill is fine. I sit for another ten minutes with them looking at me and looking past me and I know I was asked five times, ma'am what your name again. Finally, at 1:25 p.m., I got up and said you can cancel my order. I need to get lunch for 6 people and evidently it won't be here today. She said ma'am I am sorry what did you have to order? I took a slow breathe and told her again and she said oh ma'am it’s not ready. I said ok you cancel my order and I left. Normally, I am patient and I try and understand that restaurants are busy especially doing lunch and I realize there is going to be a wait. But when a customer has been sitting there for over an hour and people are coming and going and you continue to ask that customer what is their name and what did they have to eat. It is very poor service. I was away from my office for two hours. That time included driving to Room Service, waiting, and then having to drive back to my office to my supervisors and clients...
Read moreThis has to be the most disappointing service our company has ever received!!! We are an office building complied of over 15 companies located in Ridgeland. We have ordered from this place at least once a week for roughly 5 months at well over $150 each time....however our experience today has left us with no choice but to NEVER visit this location or the downtown location again. After placing numerous orders totaling over $150, one of our department manager went to pick up our orders.....she was not given all the food that was ordered and upon asking about the missing orders was told that she had everything. Upon arriving back at the office and unloading all the bags given to her, we discovered that they did in fact short us. So, being professional and wanting our orders that we paid for, she called up to the location and was told "How do we know you didn't already get it and are just trying to get more food?" (And then said they would bring it to us to make sure we weren't trying to get extra food.)...Seriously - who needs two plates for one adult for lunch. Then she was told that they didn't really care if we came back. Not only will they be losing business from our employees and their individual lunch orders, we will not be using them for our company catered lunches, and will gladly spread the word to the other 50+ Ridgeland business located in our direct area and advise them that their business is not needed by Room Service North either. We DO NOT recommend spending your hard earned money with this company. You can try Country Kitchen...they have excellent salads and GREAT...
Read moreI would rather eat left-over pizza crusts. I work in the building they're in, and cannot begin to voice my great dislike for Room Service from poor food to pitiful customer service. They never fail to utterly screw up your order, and are slower than is reasonably acceptable. They love mayo. It's so much mayo, at first I thought it was melted cheese. Also, if you ask for no mayonnaise, they will respond with confusion, "but, we make ours in-house," as if that's some sort of magical phrase that exorcises the mayo hating demon inside you. I actually like mayo, just not the 1/2" thick layer that caked on a sandwich. They have asked a co-worker what type of bread should they make his muffuletta on, and when he said "Muffuletta bread," they put it on french bread like a po'boy. If you order a cup of soup it will take 30 minutes to pick it up even though this is just soup from Sysco they've heated up. If you'd like 10 pounds of romaine lettuce with more toppings than a Chicago-style deep dish, this is your place, and honestly it's reasonably priced (if your health isn't a concern). They have at least 10 workers in that bounce around into each other like bumper cars with utter confusion....
