The Ute is a great little theatre — we had been to one other concert there that went really well. But after driving an hour and a half to see Tab Benoit and using $35 tickets that we received as a gift, we discovered it was standing room only, which grew tedious when the place grew increasingly packed with a lot of drunk folk. We arrived only five minutes after the doors opened but then stood in line for a long while to get a drink, only to find every seat taken when we went to sit down. Locals must know this game well and played accordingly. Tab’s band lacked a drummer so he had to fill in on drums and didn’t sing. Then, as the crowd filled in probably 100 to 150 standing room only people filled in in the front of the venue. We couldn't even see the musicians instruments!
