Customer Review of University Auto Spa & Detailing Center
As a business owner and paying customer, I believe in giving local establishments the opportunity to earn and retain my business. I visited University Auto Spa & Detailing Center for the second time, expecting a better experience than my first — which was average, but acceptable. Unfortunately, what should have been a simple service on a small Smart Car turned into a clear example of poor execution and worse customer service.
After paying for the Basic Wash package ($29.99), I received my vehicle back only to find that the carpets still had visible debris and the interior roof remained dirty. I politely brought this to the attention of the staff member assisting with vacuuming. He re-vacuumed the passenger side carpet, but when I pointed out the driver side was also still dirty, rather than address it himself, he handed me the vacuum hose. I was surprised to find myself finishing the job I had paid for.
When I then pointed out obvious dirt marks on the interior roof, I was told by the employee that “those stains don’t come off.” I simply wiped one with my finger and showed him otherwise. Rather than take responsibility, he informed the owner — who then approached me, not to resolve the issue, but to tell me bluntly: “You only paid for the basic wash. We don’t make money off that. No, we are not cleaning that.”
As a fellow business owner, I was taken aback by this complete disregard for basic customer service and professionalism. Had the roles been reversed, I would have either ensured the matter was resolved on the spot or adjusted my pricing model to reflect the true cost of service — not insult a customer or dismiss their concerns.
The attitude displayed was not only disrespectful, but short-sighted. A small issue could have easily been resolved with minimal effort. Instead, I was made to feel like an inconvenience. It’s unfortunate, because I was willing to become a repeat customer. Needless to say, I will not be returning, nor can I support a business that handles its clientele in this manner.

Read moreI brought my car in for a wash and they brought back my vehicle to me damaged. When I pointed out the damages to person who washed my vehicle as well as the manager they tried to cover it up and stated that the damages occurred before I brought my vehicle into get it washed which is false because I would have heard the undercarriage dragging and I would have noticed it before I brought it into the shop. They also stated they have nothing in their car wash facility that could cause the damages but the damages occurred on the divers side of my vehicle that they use for there automatic lanes. They also refused to provide me with their insurance information and now I am being held liable for my deductible to get the damages repaired because they are not accepting liability.
ALSO THEY CLAIM IN THERE REPLY THE POLICE REVIEWED THE CAMERA FOOTAGE AND FOUND THAT IT WAS AN OLD SCRATCH BUT WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED IS THE POLICE LEFT STATING THAT SINCE UNIVERSITY AUTO SPA WOULD NOT ALLOW THEM TO SEE THE CAMERA FOOTAGE THEN THEY COULD NOT LEGALLY FORCE THE BUSINESS TO DO SO. Finally I went in and politely asked for a refund and let the lady at the register know that I had to leave. She replied by telling me "sorry we have a no refund policy". I explained that they hadn't even began to touch my car. She offered me to bring it back another day which normally I may accept, but I do not live in the area, and wouldn't be able to bring it another day. I tried to reason with her and she was rude as can me. She offered no other solution. I definitely felt ripped off. Basically my only choice was to call the police who did absolutely nothing which I assumed. It's sad to see people treat their customers this way. Please take your business elsewhere. Up the street on 14th I found a way better place that says they get alot of people that complain about this place. Stay away!!!!!! After further research, The person replying to all these complaints on Google, is the same owner that has had these problems for years. They just say they have changed management to deflect from there poor service...
