It was nice, it can get a little windy and hard to traverse through due to the trees covering the path that poke you and the mosquitoes are annoying. The trail to the right is muddier than the one on the left. When I was returning, I had go around after seeing the beginning flooded. Really, it was basically a pond. The trails are a sizable distance, the scenery’s nice and I really like boardwalk you can climb on to see the field. Boy is it nice.
I notice one of the bridges is twisted. That should be looked and fixed soon. Even with these gripes, it’s a nice park that I’d recommend to anyone who loves nature...
Read moreCame here as it's one of the few hiking trails near a bus stop in the area. Was not worth the long bus ride out here. I knew it was going to be a small trail and was hoping to at least get to be on the water for a bit, but the trails don't go anywhere near the water. Closest you can get is a sad little lookout that has a view pretty far back from the shore of the river. Would not recommend making a trip out here for this, would maybe be worth the little walk in the woods if you're already in the area and not trying to be...
Read moreFirst and foremost this is truly a nature trail so dress accordingly! Make sure you have the right shoes and I suggest long pants.
Even though you can hear and see the traffic you will get turned around (or at least I did) but since it's a small Park it's no big deal. Just double back and you'll find your way.
Not a place to get a fast walk in as there no paved roads. It is definitely a place to get away and clear your mind and listen to the birds chirping and the leaves crunching...
