Five Below — Attraction in Rock Hill

I usually love this store and come often enough that I know some of the long term employees, who are usually quite friendly. Unfortunately this was not the case on the evening of 10/02/2024 where the employee was pushy to the point of it being uncomfortable. There was one register open and despite it being self check out she scanned all of my items, which is fine in its own, however she barely gave me space to check out and upon completion she selected a printed receipt (I prefer emailed) and took my survey. My sister then approached, and I stood next to her to try and block the cashier who was being very pushy from seeing her card information when she was completing her transaction. Upon completion of that transaction, the employee then tried to re-approach and take the survey to which I then said “ isn’t that our survey to take?” Which led to much unneeded attitude. I understand that she was trying to control the survey, but unfortunately, that just led to a worse review on my part. It's an ok place. It really depends on what you're buying. You have to be smart and remember what costs more here then at the many other "cheep/affordable/made in. China" stores like all the Dollar Tree and Dollar General and family dollar stores. These stores are many times even more expensive than the other ones. Many items are overpriced for the poor and cheese quality they are. So, you have to know what you're going to be ok with buying there. I wouldn't recommend buying cheap electronics there. I tried to buy an auxiliary audio cord there and it was ringing and making scratchy noises so I couldn't listen to my phone through my car speakers. On the other hand, I found a good cat rug and a post with a tethered ball. Some of their signs are confusing. Basically, shop smart and shop quickly otherwise don't waste...

Store was very cluttered. In addition I paid $72 for my purchase and was followed out of the store and asked for my receipt (which I handed to her) yet I was accused of stealing. The girl said "were you at the end register I said yes. Then she said so your purchase did not work and you just walked out" I was confused but my husband who had been paying attention said no that was the other couple and they are now at the front register purchase because they could not get the register to work. Someone needs to pay more attention to her job and not falsely accuse someone of stealing. Merry...
