Quaint, comfy, uncomplicated, and nestled in a cozy neighborhood that's two quick stoplights away from several dozen delicious food venues. The full size theatre stage hosts so many interesting events without having to wade through the swamp of special interest advertising that bombard you during every step taken to and from your theater seat. Flanked by simple pantry space and modern restrooms, it's a surprise how the parking lot is so small. But speaking of the parking lot, there could be more signage and better handicap access from the back. Other than this slightest critique, this is probably the most effortless way to soak in art & culture.

Rockville Lantern Festival Celebration Event is held each year here! There are traditional celebration performances and activities for comers to enjoy and participate in and little gift for each. My kid simply loves and enjoys it and gets immersed in this culture-rich environment which will definitely let him establish a delicate feeling and clear awareness of the great culture and rich traditions!

Great place for Civic meetings. Great time in prayer this morning at The Montgomery County Prayer Breakfast, paying for our nation & community- for our families, parents, students, our teachers, our government leaders, our public servants, our first responders, and our veterans - for our day-to-day workers, our business leaders, for our poor, vulnerabal and oppressed. I played here with the Asian Cultural Symphony for a Mother's Day concert.

The venue is small and in a neighborhood in Rockville, MD. There is a drop off area, but if you park around back, it is not extremely handicap accessible. I had to wheel my instrument uphill through grass, and either carry it up steep steps, or when I tried to take the ramps, they didn't take me to an entrance I could use.

The main hall is a little small, as is the stage. I can't say how it sounded for the audience. The backstage area is relatively small and convoluted. The facility is what it is.

The land surrounding this venue is tranquil. I never would have guessed it existed back there because you cannot see it from the road at all.

It is only about 1.5 miles from downtown Rockville, so I was able to run over and grab a bite to eat between rehearsals....

This is not a review of going to see a show at the F. Scott (though I've done that too, and it's a good time). No, THIS is a review of the theater from the actor's perspective. I've done a smattering of community theater in DC. Rehearsal spaces have always been catch as catch can, and theaters are often the same. "Change in the hallway" and "wing space? We don't need wing space!" are common. Not at the F. Scott! There's a proper green room. There are two well-equipped dressing rooms -- with mirrors galore! And lights! There's plenty of parking, and it's even a nice walk from the Metro. Being in a show at the F. Scott is so much more luxurious than at other theaters in...
