In the past few years, I moved from the Bay Area of California back to Cleveland. I point that out because Oakland had one of the finest game stores I'd ever visited: a great place to window shop, a great place to buy, a great place to play. When I got to Cleveland, I checked out a few stores and, frankly, it made me almost want to drop out of the hobby. I like to frequent local game stores, but if the store is understocked, poorly staffed, overpriced or just plain messy ("boy smell" as my wife calls it), then I'll just turn my dollars to online retailers. After nearly 3 years, I'd given up. Then I found Immortals Inc.
I never saw their old location, but this newer location downstairs at the Park West building is just awesome. Well lit, clean, super-friendly and knowledgeable staff with no attitude, and great selection and fair prices. I'm more into role-playing games than boardgames and CCGs, so it's not quite as heavy with RPGs as I'd like (true of the FLGS business in general these days). But they do have a good selection and, for instance, as a Wizards' Premiere store, they got the new edition of D&D in weeks before Amazon or the store a few miles away. They'll order anything, and they have a great frequent buyer program. And they have some fantastic events and spaces for play. I'm already in on a monthly D&D game that's been a blast, planning on playing another RPG in a few weeks, and may even run one soon.
Great store, great people. The FLGS...
Read moreThis beautiful hidden gem of a game store has everything to offer! Its family owned and operated. The welcoming family atmosphere is amazing. They treat you like one of there own. They have every game imaginable. Everything from bulk commons and uncommon cards to single rares for every card game. Not to mention the largest supply of fun board and casual card games ive seen a card shop. Plus this large and spacious facility, hidden away in an office admin building in the heart of Rocky River can offer a scenic driving route if you take the park route to it. One of my favorite parts of the trip to the shop. Plus they have the largest seating area for gaming of any local card shop that I have been to in northeast Ohio. They have open weekly D&D games available from newbies to veterans of the game same goes for games like Magic, Vanguard, Pokémon, War hammer 40k and even a game night where they play new board and card games for those looking to try something different. Not to mention the best part is super sale monday where you can roll a large basketball size dice that can net you up to 30% off based on your roll! Nothing like free...
Read moreThey have quite a large range of products to go through from card games to tabletop you will find almost everything you could want. Specifically with Magic the gathering they even still have older packs unopened you can buy all the way back before innistrad. Immortals does also do tournaments and events for games, and before covid had restrictions they offered a rentable room for Dnd/tabletop games for a fair price. They have mini figures galore, dice, and many notable books for all sorts of gaming systems. The building they are located in has multiple businesses and they are on the lower levels so you will need to take the elevator down and once downstairs it is easy to locate. Parking is easy as the building has a fairly large lot and it is located in a spacious lot overall. Would highly recommend popping by and chatting with the attentive and polite staff who can answer any questions you may have about the products within their store. I almost forgot that they also have had mini figure painting courses and more so you can look forward to an...
