I was craving hofun noodles and discovered this place through an internet search. First impression walking in was the place looks nice and classy. Cloth napkins and nice decor maybe I was in luck. Plus the reviews looked promising. Food came out in a decent amount of time but a drink order was never taken. We were brought 2 waters for the three of us, and I asked for a diet soda. The soda tasted like it was warm and only would be getting cold through the ice in the cup. We ordered a pu pu platter which was ok. The egg rolls didn’t have anything in them but cabbage. The hofun however was awful. I really tried to find it good because of how much I was craving them but really, my plate was a congealed mess of slop with old tasting chicken. I make these noodles at home sometimes so I know how easy it is to mess them up but I paid $15 and would expect them to be a little better than me at making it. I had to stop eating it was just so bad. I took a picture I’ll try to attach to my review. Then, nobody ever came back once our food was delivered. No asking if it was ok, no asking if we needed refills, never even got a bill until we got up to leave and found the waitress. I told her the hofun was really bad and can it be taken off our bill. She went to look at it, and looked confused on how to handle this situation and was saying she can’t do anything so I just said forget it and handed my card over. I did not tip, and don’t plan...
Read moreVisiting my son a month ago in Lakewood, we tried this place and loved it. We were so impressed, four of us went back again on Thursday. The restaurant is clean, and we were seated right away. I wish I could remember our servers name, she was so on top of things. We started with crab rangoon and teriyaki beef sticks. Both were amazing, we will get them again. My son got Sezchuan Peppercorn Chicken, and says it was out of this world. His wife kept eating off of his plate. My daughter-in-law got Crispy Honey beef and loved it. My husband got the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. He says it was perfect and delicious. I got the Mongolian beef (like I did a month earlier) and loved it. The Mongolian Beef had plenty of beef in it, and the dark sauce it came in was delicious, with lots of onion and green pepper. All of us would recommend our dishes to you. I ordered a pork fried rice to-go so we could make pork fried rice/scrambled eggs the next morning for breakfast (which is mind blowing with a little soy added). We got three cokes with the meal, and it ended up costing $120. Totally worth it! The portions were large, the service was top notch. The manager (I assume he was) came over and talked to us briefly, and he was a delight as well. We will come here again the next time I...
Read moreFood is very good BUT the carry out service is atrocious. Here are my last 3 experiences. Called and placed a carry out order consisting of 3 entrees, and was told would be ready in 25 minutes. Arrived in just over 20 minutes and waited 20 more minutes for the order. Second time was on New Years Eve a very busy time for Chinese Restaurants. Called about 4:00 pm and was told "order will be ready between 5:00 and 5:30". I said so when should I arrive? A half hour estimate is ridiculous, and he sais call ahead of time and I'll let u know if ready. I didn't call and got there at 5:00, and it was ready. The 3rd time too k the cake tonight. Called and place d 2 entree order and was told would be ready in 25 minutes. Arrived 25 minutes after placing order, and it wasn't ready. Waited another 10 minutes or so, and asked Connie if she could check on my order. While difficult to understand her, she sais something my order being in the back, and would be out soon. 10 minutes later I asked again, and she said would be out soon--Too lazy to walk the 30 feet to the kitchen, and check. I told her I would only wait a few more minutes. 2-3 minutes later I walked out...
