UPDATE -THEY GOT ME THE CROCKPOT - I had to make a complaint, but they did get ahold of me, and about a week or so later, got ahold of me again and said the crockpot was there for me to pick up. Thank you and God Bless you guys.
You guys did me WRONG yesterday. I got my points up for a prize, and it was supposed to be for a crock pot deal. I don't get your advertisement or flyers, so I don't know what you guys have it posted as, and I went to get the print out for it, and it showed the crock pot or $25.00 free play money, and I chose the crock pot and confirmed it, and took the print out to the service desk, and they said take it back to the other cage, so I did, I don't know when they had it because they had these wood tray things there, but I handed them the piece of paper and they started handing me one of those wood things, and I said no, I'm supposed to get a crockpot, and they said that was last week, I said that is not what it said that I was building my points up for, so I went back to the service desk, and they were basically saying the same thing, so I told them I want the free play money then, because that is not what it said on kiosk. So I asked for a manager, and he can over after I waited a few minutes, and I told him what was going on, and he said that was last week deal, and I said that is what it said on the kiosk and I wanted the crockpot or the $25.00 that it said on the kiosk. He said most people come in ego check the prize and see if they want it ahead of time. I said I don't know anything about that, because I don't get there flyers anymore, so I want the money instead. He said he couldn't do anything about it, even though he is a manager. I told him I pulled out a little more money and got 2 more points just to get that crockpot and I didn't want the wood deal. That is not what it told me. He said he was sorry and there wasn't anything he could do. So I got messed over on my money and points, so I gave him the print out and told him to keep it then. I don't appreciate being done that way at all. When you advertise on the kiosk that is what you are getting, it should of been that or the free play money,(that isn't free because you have to build up the points), and What Really ticks me off, it's the First Thing I have won there in a long time. I waisted my money and got done WRONG. BY the way, you guys need to bring the bottle water back, because the water in your pop machine is really nasty, taste like dust and something nasty, and No I don't want a can of water for $2.50 is rediculous. You guys need to do a lot better, before you loose...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped here for a few days to take a break from the road. Chris was working the front desk, and was absolutely amazing. We called a few times with a load of questions, trying to determine if we should stay at Cherokee or Choctaw. He was extremely patient, helpful, and kind. He arranged transportation of our luggage from the truck parking lot to the room, and got us a microwave. (They are available by request.) CDL drivers receive a discounted rate. Personally, I am over the dramatization of COVID, but this Hotel has gone above and beyond to keep everything clean and sanitized. There is a cleaning team in yellow shirts working around the clock to wipe down the machines and empty the ashtrays, and they are on it! Even though smoking is allowed in the Casino, it does not smell of smoke... instead there is a really pleasant scent that can be smelt throughout the Casino and Hotel, and even prior to entering the front doors. There are free beverage stations throughout the casino, including coffee, which is really nice. During the weekdays, the Casino closes from 2 am until 8 am, so if you need coffee earlier than that you can walk to the travel plaza across the parking lot. The room was nice and clean, pretty modern, and the shower was lovely. The Grab and Go restaurant had good food at a reasonable price, but there was a bit of a wait each time we ordered. Two things prevent me from giving 5 stars: The Casino does not pay out very well. We were there for relaxation more than gaming, but if you are looking to win big, this is probably not the place. The buffet was closed Tuesday and Wednesday, so we looked forward to eating there when it opened on Thursday afternoon. It was a joke... literally a laughing matter. It is not a buffet. It is a cafeteria. Suggestion to management: Give out the Instructions of how to obtain the 'buffet food' prior to taking payment from the customers. If a person is extremely cautious about being exposed to COVID, then they may appreciate the efforts being made, but please do not expect a traditional buffet experience here. I'll try to attach a picture of their buffet instructions to help explain why. The food was okay... but for the same price we could have eaten across the street at the wonderful diner over there for far less of a hassle and more of a pleasurable dining experience. That said, overall, it was a lovely stay, and we are glad we dropped in. Might come back if we are...
Read moreLike the hotel only bc its new and has a lot of potential if only they could get some better funding or whatever it is that's holding this place back. Gaming tables aren't quite what I am used to and don't seem to work out so well for me but my wife seems to hit big on slots every time. Its nice but, still not that nice of a place! Should have a few more actual amenities. it certainly wouldn't hurt this establishment. I understand covid slowing things down a bit but now they're not really going by those rules too much yet , they're beverage time venue is lagging as well as food services and many other things that would really attract people here more. Don't actually understand why they choose to operate under such a limited schedule ( real good and upscale casino or resorts lol as they try to be are FAR MORE APPEALING THAN THIS PLACE TRULY IS) NOT CERTAIN IF THATS BC OF THE REVENUE OR THE FACT THAT I've personally NEVER heard anyone except one person winning a substantial amount of 300k. And I know A LOT of ppl who come here and continously have all these Same complaints. If you aren't really up to forking out money to drink even yes, while you are playing-(there's nothing free here nor nothing literally to do besides play some slots and if you're lucky u might find a table game or two actually open just to be honest) Basically , back to " if you're not up to paying out for everything you do or consume wo much payout...u might wanna head to some real casino in a whole different area than Oklahoma or Arkansas bc they are so far behind and truly seem to struggle with how to run a true resort and good casino. STEP IT UP CHEROKEE! GEES! WELCOME TO THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE GRADE B WANNA BE CASINOS. ALMOST STARVING TO KEEP THEIR HEADS ABOVE WATER AND NEVER MIND FINDING IT AS ENJOYABLE AS THEY TRY TO COME ACROSS BC THIS IS NO UPSCALE REAL HIGH END REAL RESORT THE POTENTIAL IS THERE BUT, AGAIN. ..MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO GO CHECK OUT VEGAS SEVERAL TIMES IN MY OPINION THEN MEET SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE W THE MONEY THEY HAVE TO WORK WITH AND THEN THEY MAY SEE A LOT MORE REVENUE LEAVING THEM W MUCH MORE POTENTIAL TO BE...
