This library is quite a bit larger than I expected it to be for our small town. I would have never found it had I not searched for library on Google in the area. It's completely hidden behind a large shopping center. It's a quiet spot, with not a lot of traffic.
The Roscoe library is split in two, with half of the building dedicated to adult readers and the other half of the building dedicated to children and adolescents. Reading programs are available for all age groups. My toddler and I go there on a weekly basis for their Wiggle Giggle Grow program, where she spends an hour learning some sign language, practicing rhymes, and having playtime in a structured, class-like environment. Other mothers in the class who've gone to other programs at other libraries say that this library has the best children's program. There is a small, enclosed space for small children with toy train tables and a fully-outfitted kitchenette. There are also ample areas for studying and reading, making it a great after-school spot for homework.
As far as selection goes, I feel disappointed sometimes that they don't have books I'm looking for, especially the books that are of a controversial nature, but when I try to search for these books at other libraries for an inter-library loan, I don't often find them there either.
You can, however, read books on your Kindle borrowed from the library which is a very cool feature. You download an app called Libby and select what you want to read and it can be delivered wirelessly to your Kindle. It's nice to be able to browse a selection and read immediately without ever having to leave home.
They have an annual book sale where they offer books for an absolute steal - I picked up a brand new hardcover copy of The Polar...
Read moreI Own a Life insurance agency and my office is being built. My house doesn’t have good WiFi as well as it is helpful for my motivation to get up and have a destination to be at so I utilized there study rooms in the back to make phone calls and get work done. They gave me a warning for trying to sell life insurance to a librarian even I never did because I sell investment products and mortgage protection plans that are for upper class. I respectfully tried to explain what I do for a living and they ignored me saying I was harassing members even though I only work through appointments and virtual sales. They than proceeded to call the police on me after listening to my phone calls and heard me ask a prospect for there social security numbers and screaming even though it is required federally to be presented to push through an application of approval and I am always aware of my tonality and the way I speak because I am in high ticket sales and everything I do is calculated and completed with expertise competency so I am sure that I was not screaming. After explaining everything and showing them my license, the police apologized for the librarian’s disrespect and negligence. The next week I asked for a study room so I could make some calls, schedule appointments, and help families be financially Secure but they banned me for solicitation when all I ever did was work hard and respectfully in there space. I believe they disrespected me and my fellow agents because we are all rather young and we work hard from 9am-11pm to become financially free and are not like other kids drinking and smoking but they judged us off our age and based of other...

First time I went with my sister in law they were quick and nice to help her but not to me ignoring me and even rude to me. Tried not to think anything of but the second time I went same rudeness received. only talking to her barely helping me. Rude at check out only to me but almost holding my sister in laws hand of how helpful they were but to me nope. They where not even nice to my kids. I hate to say it but I’m Hispanic and my sister in law is white. They are lucky my babies didn’t notice because if they did. I would have made this even more public. First Lady to ignore me was there was Indian the rest white. All very rude. I might only come back one more time to return books. I refuse to allow anyone to disrespect me or my kids just because of the color of the skin. That’s why I will teach my kids to love the hell out of ppl. I hope they change there ways. I haven’t felt this horrible in front of my family in a while. Do better pls so we can come back. I am a forgiving person just educate your self look at ppl for who they are not the color of there shin. Also the children’s area should have more bubbly happy workers...
