As long as your in a safe section of the park it's fairly nice but at this point in time it's not a park I would ever let my kids play at without adult supervision. Some areas of the park are better than others but there are areas of the park I would not recommend if your alone. It's sad to see what many of the public parks up and down the west coast have become in recent years and unfortunately I don't see that changing any time soon. Read moreI was pleasantly surprised by the grass to mud ratio. Expected more soggy grass than was. Its difficult to fish along bank cus of all tthe plants & brush. No where to peg a dog leash to either. Homeless have minimized their conditions too. That alone makes it more appealing to visit. Their loudest eyesores are their mess. Garbage is not others job. They have nothing to pay out for utilities... they need to cover their own garbage & messes. Painfully obvious. The slides are slippery anymore. Playground is decent. My grandkids love...
Read moreWe stopped on a long road trip to let the kids get the ants out of their pants. Even in the rain this park is neat. The real train is a fun play structure of sorts. My child enjoyed climbing on it, but I think I did more.
Clean restrooms, babbling brook, bike/walking path that connects to points regionally, lots of picnic areas and other such.
Lots of parking. Restaurants not too far away, in case you want to pick up something and bring it here for a picnic.
