Read moreThis is such a beautiful park! I have been here a couple times over the years for events my husband’s work had thrown utilizing their grill and lounge area. My sister is pregnant and I thought of this park to shoot her maternity photos. For one thing it has a great trail. I didn’t realize how far back it goes at first til my sister told me there’s a bridge and creek on the other side.
We got to the park before 5pm so we could take advantage of that golden hour lighting. We were able to snap some near the beginning of the trail which turned out great! To get to the bridge area we drove around to the other side as to not overwhelm my sister with too long of a walk. It was such a serene view with the horizon and a few wild geese nearby. This side of the park was def more calm whereas the the main part was quite busy as lots of families were out with their children using the playground and various activities.
This park is hands down very family friendly. Also so good for a photoshoot whether it’s family, couple or in our case maternity. The main area does have a sizable bathroom building which is very convenient. I noticed on the far side there is a water park so we’ll have to check that out during summer time.
Overall 10/10 recommend this park!! Love that there is so much versatility to accommodate families or groups for any occasion. The only thing I would kinda of give fair warning to is do not hang there after dark. We tried going to the park the night before but with the sunset there wasn’t enough time to do what we needed. There were a couple who seemed to be camping under the cover for the night as well as some lingering individuals. Just always be aware of your surroundings and stay safe. Otherwise have fun! Use the park for all its good to make new,...
Read moreI've only been to the beautiful aquatic center once so far and only for an hour for lap swims but I will be going back twice a week for the same.
This place is new and clean. As I said, I was only there for lap swims between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm so it was quiet with adults only.
We were in the Olympic-size pool with lanes. It has steps leading into a small area no bigger than 10x10 ranging in-depth from 3.5' and 4.5'. The rest is 7-feet lanes. They had about six lanes open for public laps. The rest were dedicated to different practices.
There was also a smaller pool, but still large, I assume for public play. I also saw an area with slides that we're enclosed and enter twined. It looked like something I would have wanted to play in as a young person.
They have locker rooms that can be used. Bring...
