This is the second time I’ve come this week and I wish I had come sooner. Delicious food, a super kind staff; and the best chai in town. I’ve had the cheese naan, chicken mono, chicken saag, and vegetable tikka masala. By myself. No sharing! The tikka is creamy and the vegetables cooked just right. The chicken was tender and flavorful, the tasty spinach had a wonderful texture without being overly greasy, which I often find in other places. The naan was perfectly toasted with a smooth cheesy center. All of this amazing meal was meant to last several day, but I couldn’t stop myself from indulging. It’s worth it. Now I am back to try the samosas, mixed veg curry, and eggplant. And of course, another cup of chai! Update: the samosa were chef’s kiss - flavorful, crunchy, and delicious The eggplant was smokey perfection (it is puréed, so great for scooping with naan) The veggie curry was just okay. I think it would be better as a chicken dish. Heading back again to try fish pakora, chicken tikka, and...
Read moreWhat a wonderful place! We stopped by here on a Friday evening, and were immediately greeted warmly and seated promptly at a table. That warmth persisted throughout our dinner.
The food itself was delicious, be it the delectable chicken momos, the flavourful chicken karahi, or the garlic naan. They also served complimentary lentil soup, which was a nice and kind gesture.
The service itself was prompt, and the servers ensured that we were being attended to constantly. They’ve seating inside as well as outside, and it feels like a homey atmosphere inside the restaurant.
There’s a lot of parking outside, and they’ve a restroom at the back of the restaurant. The restroom was immaculate.
Overall a wonderful experience here, and I’ll be back here whenever I’m in Sacramento. They’re quite friendly and welcoming and I recommend this place to anyone scouting for good desi food...
Read moreI frequented Curry Corner (in the next parking lot) for 10 years. NEVER will I go back. After continuously getting our orders wrong, the quality of food dropping, the customer service getting worse and worse; and countless other things, I decided to never go back.
A former employee of Curry Corner actually told me to try Himalaya Momo, after trying multiple other Indian Restaurants. Our first time, and every single time after has been amazing! You literally can not go wrong with anything you order. The service is second to none, the atmosphere is great, the food is always delicious, on time and well made. Ask for mild dishes, they will ACTUALLY make you a mild dish. Ask for special requests, they will meet them. I’ve called after hours (not knowing they were closed), and they happily took our order. I am overly impressed by this restaurant. I sincerely hope they keep...
