so everyone that works here is a volunteer right? then why is everyone ALWAYS so rude? i've been coming here for over 10 years and i've learned a lot over that time. for the longest time i wanted to support this place because it's local, nice prices (on some stuff), and low key. but... after learning how they sort, dispose, and choose what to sell, i can not in good conscious support this place or condone their behavior. if you want to live a zero waste, eco-friendly life, do not donate things to this place. they most likely will get tossed away into the large dumpsters near their back doors. :( if i had known this in the past i would have donated elsewhere, your better off just having a free pile outside you house or taking it to the goodwill in scappoose. *they will also ask you what every single item is in the box or bag of donated items you have, so be prepared to somehow remember what everything you have is and make extra time in you day to be able to tell them. for example: they sell empty Ragu jars with the label peeling and empty one-time use plastic bottles, but will throw a way mint condition VHS and stuffed animals and various other home glass items and school supplies if they don't sell them time or have more than one copy of something. i've scored a lot of expensive items from their "free box", but if u don't grab it up in time, it goes straight into the dumpster. if you like anything in that free box grab it before you go into the store because by the time you come back out to grab it, it might already be in the larger dumpster or the whole entire free box will have been already placed inside for the night they do this at around 4pm (1 hour...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite thrift stores. The prices are awesome (ask about the basket sale), the store is clean and organized, and the employees are very nice. I love the fact that they price small items, such as craft supplies, for cheap instead of just throwing those kinds of things away like a certain large chain thrift store does. They also have great sales, up to 90% off. Shout-out to the lady who was taking donations Friday morning at 10:30, I wish I'd gotten her name. She was extremely kind to me when I was in a very stressful situation. I'd give them six stars if I could. Only criticism is I wish they...
Read moreI have been coming here for years. Actually, before it came in to its new building. Stock was exchanged from Nancy place. And TN just kinda grew. It's the place you bring people too that need stuff immediately and less money than other markets. I have helped furnish an entire kitchen; pots and pans, dishes and silverware, cookie sheets. And pot holders and a few decorations and a panel or 2 for the windows for under 25.00. You try that at wall mart? Tell me what you paid? Gracious staff. Easy parking. Handicapped help if you need it. What else did you want for pennies...
