Washburn Tattoo — Attraction in Saint Johnsbury

Both me and my fiance have had very negative experiences here, and We also have family who have had trouble here too. He's had multiple piercings done here alone with a tattoo, All the piercings have become infected within 24 hours or have been incorrectly placed. The tattoo he got, much like mine, the artist went to deep on the tattoo. Along with this, My tattoo didn't look like what i had given for a design and not only wouldn't modify the original print to make it fit where I wanted it, but also placed it awkwardly. The linework was also rather sloppy and varying in sizes where it all should have been about similar line sizes throughout except minor details. They also were quite expensive despite the quality. Besides this, the atmosphere was deeply negative; our artist/piercer was rather rude and made both of us uncomfortable, and we watched their receptionist nearly cry from the way she was being treated. I have gotten multiple different pieces done by different artists at Washburn and have never had a bad experience, my most recent was done by Léa and it is my favorite tattoo to date. She was incredibly kind, informative and easy to talk to during my appointment. I gave her an idea of placement for the piece and let her create a design that she was excited to tattoo, it turned out amazing and I get compliments on it daily!! Her line work is clean and for it being a hand tattoo she was incredibly gentle and it has healed more beautifully than any other of my hand tattoos even before a touch up. She has been amazing about reaching out to schedule touch ups even when I would forget to message her back. I can not recommend her enough and I will be continuing to work with her...

My family and I have been coming to Washburn for years, since before they moved to their new shop.

We started coming back when Izzy was an apprentice (she now has her own shop). We’ve had pieces done by Bruce, Isabel, Tristan, and Wes and are absolutely pleased with every single one!

The shop is clean, the artists we work with have been nothing but polite and awesome and their work is great. The atmosphere is welcoming and we really enjoy going and hanging out while getting work done. I’ve been to multiple other shops and this is, far and away, my favorite!
