SIFT & Urban Garage Market — Attraction in Saint Joseph

Urban garage market used to be a car wash but the owners changed it into a giant antique and new gifts store! There’s even a back corner that is currently being rented by a painting class!

The absolute best part about Urban Garage = free gift wrap!!! And it’s the loveliest paper, colors and presentation! What a beautiful touch of you’re looking for a gift (and card!)- the ladies here do everything for you!

I thought this was going to be all vintage, but there’s a lot of women’s clothing. I wish they had a wider range of sizes as they seem to target a younger crop top crowd. It also seems like they have absolutely every item out on the same floor, so some things don’t feel special. The jewelry is very cool- a mixture of upcycled pieces and pieces clearly bought in bulk. They have a gorgeous stationery section and their candles are unique (and make great gifts!) I’m not sure they’ve yet found their niche as everything seems a bit everywhere. Candlesticks = $18 for a box of two, bread necklace = $48, lamp = $225.

I didn’t love how one of the gals was trying to sell me with her toxic positivity. It’s one thing to be excited about what you’re selling but it’s another to tell you “everyone NEEDS one of these!”

Their naughty cards are hilarious. I bought a few of those as well as a necklace and...

Having previously co-owed a shop with a similar atmosphere, I of course absolutely LOVE it here!

Why I think you will love it.... this is set up as a flowing boutique with the same style that flows throughout, with expansive vignettes with home décor, giftable items, vintage and antique items mixed together in a beautiful and creative way. Think Anthropologie but AFFORDALE prices! Very well done, great earth tone palate with pops of colors. Excellent balance of textures and height in the displays, they have made sure to display things in a buyer friendly way that is aesthetically pleasing.

GREAT DECOR FINDS- rugs, vessels, candles, artwork, real feel florals, furniture, kitchen service wares, hand towels, concrete statues, live plants etc. STATIONARY- GIFT GIVING- BEST adult humor cards, cute paperclips, gift wrap, pens, magnets, pretty cards, notepads, trinkets, keychains, letters from mom, jewelry, craft chocolates, etc. CLOTHING- a well curated collection of comfy and cute clothing, great jeans, cute print tee shirts/hoodies, hair accessories. FURNITURE PAINT & CLASSES- I didn't ask, but it does appear that they have a painting class...

I so enjoy browsing the home decor, fashion clothing, furniture at Urban Garage Market. I've purchased items from each of these categories before and after the move to the newest location. I purchased a round aluminum top table on opening day. I place it in my large gazebo that we so enjoy in the warmer months. I also purchased a standing cast iron painted rabbit that is holding a dish. I place it on the table to hold candy treats. Many other items have I purchased from this homey store. I so enjoy being around and conversing with the friendly associates. I met associate Nicole in Dec. I believe my guardian angel had me walk in that day in Dec. when I had been feeling lonely. We shared some life subjects and I walked out feeling happy. Keep up the great atmosphere and courteous, friendly, helpful...
