Ban Thai — Restaurant in Saint Joseph

Man oh man! This is the place to be if you really want some “authentic Thai cuisine!

I am a retired police from Florida and I was vacationing in St. Joseph Michigan and my friend said, I have a taste for some Thai food. Low and behold, we googled that and bam! Google showed us, Ban Thai Authentic Thai Cuisine.

Within a few minutes we walked through the door and immediately we received a very pleasant greeting and let me say the decor certainly accented our anticipation and fueled our expectations as we looked over the menu. All I can say is that, after a few bites, I was beyond words and the deliciousness of each dish immediately created a check mark for a definitely gotta do a return visit!

Let me warn you, you will only get the highest level of customer service, and I have to say, this was my first time having Thai food and I leave for a return trip home on Monday, but I must make one more stop at Ban Thai before I leave! So, I told Siri to mark my calendar as a reminder.

The food and flavors are beyond the word “delicious.” I had the Basil fried rice with snapper and Tom Yum soup and the sweet Sticky Rice with Thai mango (market) was a super delicious desert that I could eat on a regular basis.

Throughout my vacation, I have discovered that St Joseph Michigan has so many restaurants in their community that has some really delicious and unique combinations of food; however, if you are visiting or a local, you are missing out, if you do not put Ban Thai authentic Thai cuisine on your lists of favorite places to eat.

Lastly, make sure you get an Asian mango “Fruity Coconut Jelly! It was Soooooo good! This was a perfect food night and one of the many highlights to my vacation in St. Joseph Michigan.

What a wonderful visit to Ban Thai in St. Joseph, Michigan! The food was truly a delight. Although they don’t offer dine-in service at the moment, the takeout was excellent and held up beautifully during the journey home. I’m so glad I had the chance to enjoy their offerings!

The meal was remarkable! The curry rice and spring rolls were bursting with flavor. As someone who loves curry, I was thrilled with how well this dish came together. A squeeze of lime really took it to the next level!

The service was also commendable. The owner was extremely friendly and took the time to guide us through the menu, making for a pleasant and engaging conversation.

The atmosphere, although takeout only, felt warm and inviting. Just a heads-up, make sure to catch them during their limited hours of operation. It’s a charming restaurant worth visiting.
