The Wine Thief & Ale Jail — Attraction in Saint Paul

First off, fantastic beer selection. I could go on and on about the quality of beer I’ve had from here, but I think previous reviews speak to this already.

The folks working there are incredibly knowledgeable about the beer they have. It’s one thing to know how to recommend a beer that fits your need but they take it a step further and try there best to give you a story about the brewery and whatever fun facts come along with it.

And lastly, in the age of COVID-19, these guys will spend time with you on the phone talking about beer, help you decide what to get, then walk it out to your car in a socially distant fashion.

Best small beer store in St Paul, maybe even the best in Minnesota.

This is an incredible place to buy beer. You can get individual cans and bottles. Bombers rare bottles domestic and international all for very affordable prices. These guys are amazing. They sold me their last bottle of surly Darkness 2018 that they were saving for their own drinking, because they wanted it to go to somebody that it seems like would really enjoy it it doesn't get better or more true Minnesota nice then that. I wish I'd known about them when I lived here but I will recommend them to everyone that I know that lives...

Really interesting wine and beer shop...split down the middle, one side of store is local craft brews and lesser known imported beers; while the other side is a selection of small farm wines from around the world.

I found it really interesting that the owner only stocks wine he's tried..sort of puts his mark on the place and assures a consumer his advice is solid as he helps you choose your bottle.
