We worked with Kyle on a baby bird rescue/assessment mission around Mirror Lake. In short, over the course of 24 hours Kyle was responsive, supportive, and heartfelt level of engaged. He did everything he could to find the baby bird the next morning and assess the situation. He found the baby, his sibling and mama bird and spent time observing the situation and state of the baby’s leg. We talked on the phone and he helped educate me why this baby was better left in the wild with his mom. He was more than willing to take the bird to a rehabilitation center if that would have been the best outcome for the baby, but after lots of great dialogue I was able to understand exactly why it was best to let baby stay with his family (he was maybe 3 weeks old, was able to partially fly at his age for safety from any predator, could hop around on one leg, was eating etc). Kyle is a gem and an amazing resource! Do not hesitate to call him & his partner for rescue mission assists and to learn how to help our animals (not just birds)...
Read moreThese guys are fantastic! There was a wild bird outside my apartment injured. Was unable to stand or fly since morning till afternoon. I saw it in the morning didn’t think much of it but in the afternoon I noticed the poor bird still lying down there under the rain and winds. As hurricane Milton is upon us.. I took immediate action in calling Florida Wild Bird Rescue. They responded right away in text and came to pick the injured bird. We carried the bird and kept it out of the storm until they arrived. I was so relieved they came on time to save this poor animal. I am truly greatful that these guys are out there helping animals in times like these when hurricanes are upon us.
I hope that bird is doing okay! Thanks again guys for...

Kim from Florida Wild Bird Rescue called me back immediately, even though it was close to 6PM, and she helped me put a plan together for where to go and notified the rehab facility that we were on our way there with the bird.
I am confident that Kim and Kyle are experienced to assist with any bird rescue and I thank them for their...
