Extra Space Storage — Local services in Saint Petersburg

Ok first of all I have been associated with Life Storage on and off for 8 years. I moved from Boston and had lots to store - and then I also rented a space to start an an e-commerce business. The past month or so Extra Space took over and I have to say the customer Service was good with life storage -but nothing like the service I am getting now. Kerry the site manager is an expert and she had her hands full with this takeover. The AC was down quite some time before she took over and she hit the ground running making calls every day to get that fixed. Kerri also called the customers to let them know what’s going on. Kerri literally knows everything there is to know about operations and every aspect of the day to day business and what it takes to run a successful storage facility. Her customer service skills are the best I’ve seen in a longtime. Kerri is easy to get on the phone and is very patient with customers. The facility is now spotless as well. Kerri needs to be recognized with the company and in my opinion promoted to a DM position. I appreciate a person like herself that has true passion for what’s she’s doing. I have been a National Sales Manger and know how well it is to be attentive to the needs of the customer. In the month I’ve know her I just can’t say enough great things about her. Let’s just talk about how awesome and how amazing Moses customer service is!!!! Short story time: In the process of moving and I arrive at the storage. Unloaded the vehicle and took everything to my unit door only to discover I DID NOT have the keys to my lock! Let me mention my 2 year old was also with me playing help mommy move boxes lol. There was no way I was about to load everything back into my car and entertain a toddler at this point! I was so sure I had the keys and immediately thought oh they must still be in the other diaper bag at home. I leave my stuff to make a quick run home as I only live 5 min away to realize I’d lost the storage keys!!! I A) dropped them while loading up the U-Haul or B)packed them up in a box somewhere. 30 min has elapsed at this point and it’s time to make the dreaded well mostly embarrassing phone call that I was locked out my unit. Moses was so polite and reassuring that it was not a problem. He was even more impressive in person once I arrived back at office. He told me he noticed that things were left outside a unit when he was doing his rounds and made sure to keep an eye on them on the camera until someone called! Update 5/15/21 I had to rent a storage a unit again and once again the service was great. I never worry about my items or trying to get in contact with a representative at this location. It’s always a smooth process and I recommend this location to anyone looking. I also have a friend who has had his items stored with this location for almost a year now. Highly recommended!

This place is AMAZING!! I had my things in storage for a year while living back in NY and I never had to worry about my items. Nichole and George are an amazing team and there just aren’t enough words to describe how incredible the customer service is. It is personalized, you feel like they’re welcoming you into their home and you just know you’re going to be taken care of. In all my interactions with them I’ve never had a bad experience and they are very thorough.
