I love shopping at the Habitat for Humanity Restore 1249 13th Street SE Salem, Oregon 97302. My most recent purchase this summer was an extension ladder (24 feet) at very good price. This will be the second ladder that I have purchased in the past year and am very satisfied with the quality of all the pre-owned tools and household goods sold here. The staff and volunteers are very professional and super friendly. Many of these folks have practical knowledge for DIY projects and home repairs to share with you. I have donated surplus household goods in the past - and have a box of new safety jerseys to drop off this month with a Vintage Craftsman tool box loaded with great tools. This amazing store has earned *****FIVE STARS*****

Found a lot of useful items for my project and saved a ton of money. Paid by the pound for some things. Huge space. Staff was helpful. Only a few items were priced too high for a salvage thrift store. Donations coming in while I was there, so best to check periodically.

I had bought items for a great price, in the past but Lately they over price a lot of their stuff maybe whoever is in charge of pricing items is not too smart ,

The management of this store is embarrassing!!!! I show up at 10:15. The Store is open but they do not accept donations until 11:00. The website says they are “open”. The 11 note is hidden very deep in the website. I have driven 20 miles to the store. The staff in the donation section is there!! The staff were quite rude and usually quite surely when I have made donations in the past. I would “fire” them. I am told they do not make exceptions for donations prior to 11. Well, I had a truck load of tools, new electrical construction material, lots of saleable items from my Uncle’s estate. The store has “banker’s” hours.....yet banks open at 10AM. There hours are terrible and not flexible for working people. They are closed on Sundays. Over the years I have donated thousands of items to the store and money to the national organization. No more donations to the store. It seems every time I drive by there with items they are closed. At this rate they will go out of business. Please tell me why Goodwill has better hours? I very rarely get angry.......but...

On May 1st went in. Have shopped here for years. Just outside the door was an old patio umbrella with fringe with the store's price tag of 25.00. Near by but separately was a patio set of table with chairs with their price tag of 100.00. I talked to the cashier about the umbrella and she had to go talk to her boss because she thought they might put the umbrella with the furniture to get the set sold for a better price. She came back and said that the boss wanted to put the umbrella with the table and it was no longer available as a separate item. I went back outside and they had taken the umbrella and put it into the table, removed the 25.00 price tag and put a 100.00 price tag on the umbrella. I know the restore is supposed to benefit those in need, but I would have paid the 25.00 and donated a newer patio umbrella that actually matched the furniture. I don't have a big income. I don't like people who switch tags. Not a shop on the up and up, bad...

My first trip many months ago during their 50%, everything sale was an absolute joke. They did not honor their signage and / or pricing, so we left two full flat carts at the checkout and walked out. Then I made the mistake of giving them a second try. Oh, that one was a doozy. I picked up a small 4 drawer plastic container filled with nuts screws nails and much randomness for my husband. We went to go pay for it and were accused of stealing as they said the container wasn't that heavy when they put it on the shelf. The cashier and the manager were both accusatory towards my friend and I. Got upset that I was viewed as a thief from young people we walked out. However, the Woodburn Restore is amazing. I just dont live out...
