Interesting history here. Have a docent share the archeology of the site. Lots to be learned about this over 250 year old site. Check times when house is open to the public. Grounds are interesting, too, if you're a history buff. Much of what is known about the site is only available by speaking with a knowledgeable guide. Events here add tremendously to the experience. He gave us the history of the house and the land. He pointed out the uniqueness of this house and the restoration of it. Great efforts have been made to keep things as authentic as possible.
